I do same procedure except after the polish I use water, then a tissue to dry.

Do you know how much energy it requires to warm up water to flow through the hosepipe ? If you are saying to me that you are using cold water then that is a completely different thing which i definitely cant do.

The bidet tap usually uses cold water, shared with the cistern inlet. This serves two purposes - it washes nice and clean and you pucker up nicely as well.
