Great deal for a quality headset. £29.99 is an absolute steal

Yes it will work on both Xbox One and the PS4.
I'd disagree, around this price point for a Xbox One headset to use with the first gen XBO controller you won't get better headset with good quality audio and mic clarity. You are looking at paying £15 for the adapter on it's own so the headset essentially costs £15. You won't get a good quality Sennheiser headphone at this price specially not one with a mic attached, and even if you do get a mic it will be the inferior inline mics, you usually looking at a mod-mic that costs £35 on its own.
Sure Seinnheisers with destroy these with sound quality but you are also looking at paying more for the headphones alone. then add £35 for the mod-mic and £15 for the Xbox Adapter.
So at this price point, for someone without a Xbox One adapter or second generation XBO controller this is the best deal available. The biggest problem with TB headsets is the actual build quality, they are made from not exactly the strongest plastic, so you wll have to look at them if you don't want them to break,

I would be, i dont mic online at all unless it's friends and i rarely bother then. (Wasn't me that said buy the Sein's though.)
You say you can't recommend them enough, is that purely for the mic and chat side then, nothing to do with audio of the game (and surround etc) at all? I'm just starting to delve into this side of things (want to have decent volume but i do play at night and am currently in a flat.) Much more interested in quality sound over voice but research is only so good, an opinon is worth 10x more. I am willing to throw alot more cash down for quality but these deals are happening a bit fast compared to my research rate/time i have lol Would also like something that did ps and xbox; 360,one,ps3/ps4 and if i can, pc aswell, and a decent mic , yep i know this is probably not even exisiting >.<
USB is USB while alot of these run off the jacks or TO adapaters there should be something, or someone should fill that market grey area .

I've had these for about a year, paid £50 for them. Can't recommend them enough.
I've since bought a pair of Astro A50's but I still find myself using the Turtle Beach set more due to the ease of use and clearer mic (people I'm playing with complain they can't hear me very well when using the Astro's).
To the person saying don't buy these, buy Sennheiser/Sony/Philips.. seriously? Nobody is buying this headset to use as headphones. You're looking at £50+ on top of the cost of any headphones from those brands just for the extra accessories to use them as a headset.

I have this headset. Good for the price but can't adjust the chat volume very well so quite often you can struggle to hear other players

Currently also on amazon deals if anyones looking. (ends in 6hrs from this post (mine not the thread.)
Considering myself but tbh i want to invest a little more and jump to 7.1 and noise cancelling aswell, but thats a 100+ price diff if not more for some of the better one. Not exactly a small diff lol

Answered my own question with a quick google search. In which case, is there a different headset that you would recommend for those with the v2 controller? Not looking to spend any more than what I have for this one. Thanks again!

You'll get the best headset experience through a turtle beach adaptor regardless of which controller you have, full control over volume and mix with mic monitoring and real buttons. That doesn't mean you have to use a turtle beach headset though, you could use the one suggested above with it, but this deal includes the adaptor and effectively gives you an OK headset for a tenner on top.

Buy an official sony headset for ps4 such as 4gamers....turtle beach are trash now (and before anyone starts Ive owned the px4's the px5's the stealth p400's)

Sorry guys you've confused me a little. With the v2 controller are there 'standard' headsets that will allow audio and voice? As there is just the 1 jack I assumed this was audio output only but now I'm thinking that perhaps its not the case, but you wouldn't have access to the headsets volume controls if you just used the 3.5mm jack? Cheers!

Great deal - the adapter is so much better than the official xbox one. Also has a detachable mic so you can use them as headphones for other things as well.

I agree with what you have said, that is why I didnt mention anything to do with the price other than you can get better quality for your money. Anyone who is passionate about sound quality & build quality knows to avoid them but as they are so commercialized as console headsets they get a huge following. Buy cheap buy twice. I don't know about these mod-mic's or adapters but Id rather spend the money on a real headset and spend a few more quid on these extras you mentioned to have the sound quality and comfort we all deserve!

My three boys all have this headset and love it!
The TB adapter plugs straight into the old controller and the headset jack into that.
It's a good adapter too with multi-step Bass Boost and Variable Mic Monitoring plus Game-Chat Mix and Mic Mute!

You are better off staying away from Turtlebeach in general.
I'd look more into Sennheiser/Sony/Philips headphones as you get better quality for your money.

Given the vastly better adaptor you get with these, which includes mic monitoring, is easily worth £20 on it's own these are excellent value and 90% of players will think the sound quality is great too.

Price is nice but I'd argue against the "Quality headset" part. :stuck_out_tongue:
