I got a 1 TB one for around £35 last week New Oscott Birmingham - but was last one - may have had a couple of the 500Gb ones. It is worth a look, but you need to be lucky.

Bargain if they can be found. Can never have enough HDDs.

Managed to get a 2TB one for £24.97. Currys Fforestfach had a 1TB for the same price and a 500gb for the price that OP found.

You can see the 1tb version in the pocture next to it for £34.71. There weren't any left though.

Be very careful I recently bought a laptop drive from PC world in Worcester,it was in one of their sealed alarmed plastic boxes I took it to the till where it was unboxed i paid for it took it home but when I opened the box the bag inside had been opened and a different make and smaller size hard drive was inside.
I took it straight and had a argument with the manager,eventually getting a replacement and he did admit it was probably swapped by staff instore.
