Bargain, always up for games from other regions. Always look about, the UK store is usually always the most expensive.

I changed the region as a few people pointed out, but even so it was asking for a credit card. I don't want to do this, even though I had £15 in MS Points it still wouldn't let me choose this.
Bought off the Store for £6 instead

Do you need to keep the console in the Canada store to download or can I swap back to UK?

Do it all on Xbox.com on your computer in whatever region you buy the game in. Then when you switch on your Xbox One the game will be there to download in your console under 'games and apps' unless you have automatic downloads switched on. :-)

No, they'll be locked to whatever region they're for
Can you not get around the tax by using gift cards like the US Store?
Harryisme to Recharg3
28 Oct 15#36
No because in US store Tax is charged depending on the state you live in, where some states have sales tax while others don't. In Canada as far as I know the minimum sales tax is 5% with some regions being more.

If you change your region on Xbox, aren't you locked it for some time before you can change it back again?

What's Revolut like? Does it work for every country? How long do you have to wait for the card to arrive or can you start making purchases without a physical card?

can someone talk me through how to do this please ? is it possible to do it entirely through the web store?
I've bought a fair few games from the US store without issues. Just make sure you use an address from a tax free state and you'll be good to go. Well thats the case for the US store anyway. Don't know about any other country. But I'm looking to expand my travels to Brazil and Canada soon

What Canadian address did you use for this? And what percentage tax is it?

Thanks, didn't notice the code redemption page had taken me back to the US site. Changing it back to Canada again let me redeem the code. but annoyingly the store still asks for Canadian billing details when I try to buy something instead of just giving me the option to deduct from store credit. Bah! I think I should just buy a copy of PvZ for my kids locally :smirk:
Do you need to buy credit to do this? If so it'll just be easier to pay £6 on the UK store.

I feel like I'm being dumb here.. maybe I'm missing a step. I purchased a code for xbox store credit (Canadian) but I can't apply it on the Canadian store to my account because it's in a different region to my MS account. Have I gone about this the wrong way?

Change your region to Canada. Bottom left on pc at XBox.com, or through settings o console.

Either change the region on your Xbox to Canada in the settings or on the webpage in the bottom left change your location to Canada and that should do the job.

By all accounts, the Hungarian store is the only one you can still use a CC/DC directly on - the others need you to buy credit first for the store.

question is what's better value buying this or ea access for ~£15 from Hungarian store? For me probably neither as I dunno when I'll have time to play with all the other games I've got

About £40 on the Canadian/US stores. Singapore seems cheapest that's easy to get credit for at £37. Must be a cheaper region on there somewhere :P
Canada seems a good region, probably because the Canadian Dollar is a rather weak currency.

That's an absolute steal! I wish they'd stop marketing it as the "Deluxe Edition". Technically it is, but then technically the Deluxe bit is free anyway :smirk: Might have to pick up Zombi at that price though.
