Went back to the store today and there was a bogof shelf but price had risen to £3.45 Price increased by over 600% over night. One of the issues here is that the till area is right next to the self service tills. So were the 2 large display of chocolate oranges. I think they probably noticed the shoppers taking 30-40 of them at a go. I didn't test to see the price scanned today. The shelfs were fully stocked today. I guess they had stock to spare anyway? At £3.45 I won't be buying these. Even at BOGOF.
Yep it appears different stores probably had different offers. I wonder if this was a pricing error on Boots part? It must cost them more than 25p to buy these. Loss leader? Rather pointless if they buy nothing else!!

I don't have the receipts as my colleague paid for the stock. I can take a photo of all the Chocolate Oranges. Overall try going to a local store and see if they are marked up 50p on the shelf. It would be 15 or so hours before I could post a receipt. I will try and pop into Boots tomorrow if any stock remains.

I think you just need to find the bigger stores maybe?? Hardly a phantom offer? First Boots store I visited had the offer on. At 4.30pm Tuesday the offer was still there. Probably buy some more tomorrow. Presents for family and friends.

Went into Boots in Woking yesterday (Tuesday). We cleared out over 65 of these over 2 visits. 50p a pack but BOGOF too. (The shelf was marked up BOGOF. Hardly a secret!!) Got 20 in my draw at work. I think others had been buying heavily too day before.
They had 100-200+ in stock. Barely scratched the surface stock wise.
Why is this expired??

Depends how long it takes them to eat them, I used to goto Makro to stock up on stuff as it usually worked out cheaper and a couple of boxes of crisps usually lasted me 3-4 months, coffee was great to get up there.
Its similar to a credit card, buy now, eat later :smile:

Not at all. When the Tesco glitch was on I bought quite a few but left plenty for others. Then you get the likes of Henlans who goes in and piles trolleys with them and nobody else nearby gets a look in. It's absolutely sod all to do with "jealousy" it's just an observation that some will clear out dozens in one go and take the lot without really having any idea what to do with so many.
