I treated myself and the Mr to a hugely reduced Tassimo machine and was hunting like a wild thing for cheap discs for it and discovered that Sainsbury have £1 off all packs.they start at £3 for 16 pack!!... and then a quick search on HUKD revealed a £15 off at check out code which is NHMMATFAF off a £60 shop and I got £1 delivery :D cracking result for me and I'm looking forward to being caffeine crazy for a few weeks :P Found another code = £18 off £60 spend - CATNNSLEEM

I have had my Tassimo for over 2 years, use it every day and not sure I have ever had a faulty pod. Had maybe a couple (of literally hundreds) that went a bit haywire but blamed that on user error and not getting pod in right place when closing lid whilst half asleep. I like mine anyway and it has lasted much better than the Senseo machine I had before it. At the price of the appliance (think I paid about £30-£40) would doubt whether a 3 year breakdown contract would be worth it.
Thanks for the heads up on the pods at Sainsburys. Not been a aupermarket offer as good as this on these for a while. Good deal.

Did you use code NHMMATFAF with £60 in the basket? if you did and it didnt work then I dont know why it doesnt work for you :disappointed: If you search for sainsburys codes on HUKD there were others as well for different values - I'd try some of those x

Good luck with your machine, nothing but trouble. Faulty pods are regular and they ain't cheap. Apparently it's a design flaw that tassimo don't want to fix, search online about it. Good price though so hot from me.

Oohhh doesnt sound good :disappointed: I bought ours because a friend swears by hers (one of the 1st ones) and we were in a wee boutique hotel recently which had one in the room instead of the usual kettle and sachets. I hope mine doesnt break, Im seriously loving the cuppas from it! I had the option of 3 yr breakdown....perhaps I should have took it?

I had a few duff drinks then I learned a trick.
When you insert the pod just turn it anti-clockwise as far as it'll go.
Yes I know they don't turn much - but that ended the problem 100% for me.
I think if you just insert the pod it might naturally not sit quite right - this ensures alignment.

Bull poop.
We have had our Tassimo for three years and bought all the discs from many vendors and have had very little issues with them.
Stick with Nescafe gold blend if you want to be cheap.

This has only happened to me twice in 3+ years and both times I phoned the careline and got vouchers to replace whole pack. Very annoying when it does happen though - coffee gounds everywhere!

i've had mine for years and it only ever plays up if the there's water or condensation on the bar code reader, which is quickly cleared with a wipe from a dry cloth. Sorry but it's rubbish to say there's manufatures fault with the m/c.

Ours has no room for mistakes, the pods/discs sit really tight in the bit they sit in. I was talking to a couple of fellow tassimo owners today and they both said they've had minimal problems, and for the price I paid (£50) for the fidelia, even if it only lasts a year I'll be happy. So far its 3 days old and has been used 15 to 20 times each day as the whole family try out the variety of discs I bought lol. I need to find where to buy the tea pods if anyone can help - doesnt look like any supermarket sells them :/ ?

I've had mine for a couple of years now, and like you, have never had a faulty pod either - and my machine gets a lot of use (family of 5).

I considered the vivy one too justy101 but went with the bigger one as it has a larger water tank, might invest in a vivy for work tho £40 is a great price

When you're putting in your address select my address is not listed or enter manually (can't remember what it says) as my address is blacklisted or something and doesn't show up anymore on the search as I've made a few accounts here to get the discounts :smirk: but a simple manual entry and it always goes threw but the delivery driver is on to me as I have a different name every time he comes and he always has to give me the new customer substitute speech :man:
