Believe it or not, I purchased 3 weeks ago and nothing was mentioned... hence I'm pleased that I can now use the official Sony 5 year jobby and assume that's what the latest price is based on!

Not sure about that... plenty of movies around and still making them, getting better too, latest Planet Of The Apes was excellent :sunglasses:

I have a job price match even though there's none in the stock online, but there is stock in some stores, or was.

John Lewis stores were expecting stock on November 2nd, Westfield London said that they should be back in any day, might be worth ringing your local stores.

Yes the lag on boot up is a pain..but otherwise a decent TV...I bought mine for the Rugby World Cup and it is now £90 less.

Anyone looking for Guarantee ..
Sony is giving a 5 Year Guarantee so dont have to wait for John Lewis
Great spot! Shame it doesn't apply to the R4/ 5C ranges, though! :man:

Amazing!! I'll have to double check when I get home, but I think that means my 1 year warranty is actually 5!

If you look at the 5 years Warranty Terms & Conditions it says the TV must be bought instore

I have just called Sony on the number given in the Guide and they told me that its only Guaranteed for 1 year and no such thing as 5 Year guarantee is issued by them.
maybe someone else can try giving them a call as well to make sure.
Got the 50w805c and ps4 gta package all for 620 with club card.

Me too. Digihome do a 50" smart TV £299 but I'm not too sure about it.
It's for my bedroom. I already have a 3D TV down lol

Yeah, there's a reason i ended up with the 32" - £230 was too good to pass up!

Got the 32" version. It's decent, bootup takes too long really but otherwise fairly impressive. Upgrade to the 755C and you'll get Android TV though.

Android is the way to go... however, for the time being, it's poorly implemented and laggy in an otherwise brilliant Sony 43" I have... with the 50" equivalent £170 more than the posted TV, plus £20 off with o2 Priority, this a non-brainer bargain :man:

don't forget o2 priority have a £20 saving on spends over £300 in store - so if you fancy going into store and picking it up

tried to get John Lewis to price match but they have no stock nationwide and Richer Sounds as always would not price match as it doesn't include 5/6 yr warranty.
Is this the same one at Argos? I hope John Lewis and Richer Sounds price match as i would like the extended warranty. Been looking at this tv for a few weeks
