Saw these a couple wks back on website, great buy. Boots have the Kilner jars with a bottle of alcohol in for £10, I was planning on doing my own cheaper version with the hb jars I got for 69p, but you can't buy the alcohol and mixer for £3.30 so this is the better (and easier) option. Glad to know there's another flavour, hoping to get a couple for friends :smiley:

The jars themselves look identical (as in exactly the same) to the ones they are selling in Home Bargins for 69p. I picked a couple up the other day.

The only difference i can see is that this jar has a plastic washer on top of the lid whereas the ones from home bargins didn't.

Obviously for 69p you don't get the contents...sigh... but with the extra £3.30 you'd save i'm sure you could buy something to stick in it.

Also had a pina colada version in my local store today containing a little bottle of malibu

Raft of mixed references here. Real mason jars (which these aren't) were used by bootleggers to bottle moonshine. There is no traditional association with vodka, nor cranberries for that matter. This is like drinking wine from a plastic, half sized cow horn.
