Good value. Just read the itinerary very carefully. Did a coach holiday a few years ago and it was mostly oldies (I now qualify for Saga!) and it was endless hours on the coach with lots of stops. I'm the sort of person who just likes to get up and go but with this sort of thing there is a lot of faffing around waiting for people and feeling like half the day is gone before you get anywhere. Perhaps great though if you are more laid back and happy to be driven around and chatting with many others. PS Beware pensioners - they sprint like 20 year olds when there is food or limited seating! :-)

The holiday is slightly cheaper if you book through http://www.coachholidays.com. Dec 6th is £277.44 and Dec 13th is £287.04. Tour code is ECITHAW which includes en-route stays. Tour code EXITHAW is the express coach with no overnight stays. This one is even cheaper.

Spent a week here in this hotel 2 years ago. Had an amazing time... went to two different lakes, Milan, and on the Bernina Express in Switzerland, still the best holiday I have been on yet! Bargain price I'd say... i'm a single traveller and I'd be happy to pay £299 + single supplement of £119 for this

A bit off topic, but if anyone tech savvy is interested in running a little forum allowing single travelers to connect and avoid these single supplements just pm me.

I went to Lake Como last year, found a nice cheap hotel on seomwhere like Alpharooms, right at the edge of lake como at Lecco called NH Pontevecchio. Didn't think it was worth paying extra for the lake view though, as its the beginning of the lake and not that impressive.

If you go to a place as stunning as Switzerland, only thinking of duty free, you're an idiot.

This is Switzerland guys - I lived there for 5 years - double your budget at a minimum.
It is not a discount destination per se.

Italy actually (just ask George Clooney) but near enough. Food will be better and everything cheaper.

Ah, sorry, I thought it was a one-off fee regardless of group size.

The hotel looks a bit hit and miss on Trip Advisor, pity, other aspects of the tour seem attractive..........
