A box of milk, white and dark chocolate and a free bag of salted caramel puddles for £6.95 including delivery as part of the Hotel Chocolat Tasting Club. You can cancel any time. Subsequent boxes are £22.95 each.
Plus if you sign up for £6.95, a voucher will appear in your account to purchase a second sample box for the same price :-)

Well, I got my TCB today and the box of chocolates  So I got them for £1.90
I've just gone to their account and cancelled all orders!

I did get in touch with them just to make sure the £6.95 is per selection and not just for the very first order and it is
Here's what they said:
I can confirm with you that you may try all introductory selections for the price of ₤6.95 and then they would continue on at the price of ₤22.95. We do ask once you have received all the introductory selections if you do not wish to continue on with the selections if you could get in contact and cancel, otherwise they will continue on every month for you.

If you login to your account and go to "Hello" > Order History and click the Tasting Club tab it should then say the payment amount.

That was (and still is) my concern. So far (and the boxes arrived three or four days ago) nothing's showing on the account.

Can you confirm that they charged you the £6.95 for both boxes? I'm worried that I might get charged £6.95 for one and the normal price for the rest.

They said for the tasting club it's a monthly subscription. Are we going to get charged for the subscription as well?
Happy to admit that I was wrong on this - the second box has now arrived. Good news for anyone else who added an extra box or two at £6.95! Bad news for the diet.

Okay lovely, thank you. I love hotel chocolate but don't get them often as they are pricy, so lovely to have the chance to get some at this price. Hope they haven't taken payment for the one you didn't receive. I ordered 3 boxes but to come on different days so hoping I still get them all :innocent:

2 Dec 151#53
Yes - there's always a free bag of something (except with one of the selections) included as part of the standard carboard packaging they use.
What's missing, though, is the second box ordered at £6.95 with the voucher. I suspect it won't be arriving because it was a mistake on their part.

First sample box has arrived - but not the second one ordered on the same membership at the same price. Not altogether surprised, because that's never been possible to do in previous years, and I'm not sure that it was intended to be possible this year either.

I had a look, via topcashback. I can see a box at £6.95 but without the free packet of choc? I haven't ordered yet, but topcashback is saying purchased, and pending £5.05? I guess it'll be cancelled at somepoint

You don't have to give them your number (there's no * next to the box) As for email, you can just add them to your spam email list.

Out of interest for others, I used TCB, but selected the hotel chocolat tasting club, it's now tracking at £5.05 in 12 weeks. I guess, that's so they have a chance of cancelling it, if I don't stay with the membership. Since I've set the delivery to be every 12 weeks, I should have a whole week to cancel membership and still get the £5.05. So a fancy box of chocolates for £1.90 isn't a bad deal.

We had this for a year. Decent chocolates, but we decided overall not worth the money, so we cancelled. They kept sending their 'special event' boxes (and charging us for them obviously). Just a heads-up to ensure when you cancel you cancel all boxes.

Once you have signed up, you can order all five boxes for the discounted price, then keep cancelling and reordering as many times as you like.
They also give you a £5 voucher for scoring the chocolates, but it has very restrictive terms - it only works in the members special offers section and can't be stacked.

It's a pain to do, but doable.
Click HELLO "Your name" at the top right of the site, slide down and click "My Regular Selection", then next to "Delivery Frequency", click "Edit", then slide down, to the right of "Go Back", click, "Cancel this Regular Selection!".
I'm not sure though, if you should only cancel after you get your first box of choccies? So in the meantime, I went to the same area of the site as above, but changed it to deliver every 12 weeks.
If you go to "My Regular Selections", and scroll down, you've got 2 options for £6.95 and there's a 3rd at £8.95.
(It takes you to the same spot as you pointed out, but one less click  )

It looks like you can get all three selections for £6.95. You place your first order and then when you're logged in to your account, click on "Hello XXX" in the top right corner (next to HELP). Then on the right side in a section called The Pod click on "£6.95 TO TRY ANOTHER!".

I've just paid 9.95 for this! Yes very easy to cancel - can be done under manage my account. Once you've joined once you often get offers for the tasting selection again at the reduced price. At this price these are a real bargain - the fortified selection is gorgeous and not too sweet

expensive, but these are lovely chocolates. We get a box when they are on offer like this and might have one or two a night. It is a big box (although will usually fit through a letterbox - long and thin!) You can cancel/delay order online - really easy.
