Those are not meant to be carried around. Perfect as system drive in raspberry pi or to play MP3s in your car stereo, where I use mine.

If you are watching say films straight through USB 2.0 is fine

USB 2.0 is fast enough for media players and won't cook the socket.. I like that.. but I would say though if you navigate a lot whether through files or the media itself.. the experience on my bluray player is a lot smoother with a Sandisk Extreme.. 2.0 drives.. there's a bit of lag.. displaying a folders contents, or skipping through material.. just enough I'll sacrifice capacity for the inconvenience of swapping files.

I have a couple of these and also a couple of the older model "Cruzer Fit" which are USB2 instead of 3.
the older version definitely has a better design and is smaller and doesn't get hot like these.
if you don't want to transfer files frequently, for example using in car stereo,tv media player,as extra laptop storage, etc (so slower copy speed isn't an issue) then buy the Cruzer Fit instead of Ultra Fit..they are better designed and better in general.

Actually the main reason I bought one of these (32gb) was so I could carry it around on my keys, others are just slightly too big but this is perfect for me.

Not sure how much this one protrudes, but I think the idea is generally to leave these in the USB slot.
People tend to use them on closed systems where they need additional non critical storage (music/videos for example) but don't want to pay for a larger SSD.
Guess they are also useful if you constantly need to transfer stuff on/off with USB as its always waiting in the slot.

So can these:
But as mentioned the convenience of being able to leave this plugged in a tablet/head unit/tv etc... is what makes the size so good.
They do get hot, read speed is indeed about 130mb/s but write speed is only 15mb/s and they have a red LED which is irritating.

I have a 32gb and a 128gb of these, the 32gb one keep draining 0.15A of power even when my laptop go to sleep. But my newer 128gb one doesn't. They both are too hot to touch when using

They do tend to get very hot. But at that price, I'll have another.
