Had the Note 3, large jump in performance with the Note 4.
Currently own Note 4, Samsung S6 and 6S (Apple), the Note 4 is my fav. Hot hot deal at this price.

Has anyone gone from Note 4 to S6 and regretted it. I'm seriously considering moving to Note but not sure if I'll regret effectively "downgrading" regards newest tech

i had a note 4 and a s6... was deciding which to keep... let downs on the s6 is the battery life its really poor!
s6 camera is better, note 4 is a good all rounder... screen is lovely.
note 4 is a great phone but i would consider the nexus 6p now is the best android phone you can get...

Have had note 4 for about 8 months, prior to to that a note 3 for over a year. One thing's for sure...my next phone will have stock android.
My note 3 was slightly smaller, lighter and had better battery life. Note 4 has a better camera, screen and slightly better performance.
Don't think this'll ever get the latest touchwiz which is a shame as I'd think that would iron out a lot of the lag/crashes that occur from time to time.

I just had my Note 4 delivered from sunny Italy & very happy so far.
Cheers, I bought the black S6 Edge without seeing it and it's Navy. Looks nice but I'd have preferred it to actually be black.

I might keep my eye out for a Black Friday deal. If it drops to £300 ish I'll take the plunge.
Is the black version actually black or navy blue like the s6 edge?

I've got an S6 Edge and the battery life is shocking. I can get £250 minimum on Mazuma. Is it worth getting this instead of my Edge?

Don't know the Edge well enough, but I'd very much doubt the battery life will be up to a Note 4. And with Note 4, you can, if you really need to, just pop in an easily pocketable spare (about £12 on Amazon for a genuine one). Never needed to do that, though, and I'm a pretty heavy user out of the house.

The stand by time stated is wrong
I get over two days stand by from my Note 4 and the phone also has the Ultra Power Saving Mode option which can extend the battery even further (Disables a lot of functions to extend the battery but still works for calls and texts)

I can confirm that - the stated standby time is way out.

My note 3 is still going strong! probably the best phone ive ever owned always thought about the note 4 but truth be told theres not much in it spec wise to make the jump so I'll hold onto my note 3 a little longer, there is another option ive been looking at and thats the xiaomi note pro which looks absolutely amazing aside from the stylus theres not much else id miss with the sammy....seriously thinking of selling the note 3 now to fund the note pro lol

I suspect that it will be made available for sale sooner than later as I have read that sales are not that good of either the Note 5 or the Note 5 Edge.
No idea how true that is as I don't know how anyone would know Samsung's sales' figures. Perhaps some of the retailers have been reporting poor sales?

20 Nov 15#22
The Note 5 is still not available for purchase / use in Europe/UK is it?
People say it - Note 5 - is not as good as the Note 4?
Newbold to tawse57
20 Nov 15#23
Not available yet, no. The real problem with it is that you can't replace the battery (write-off if it fails, as they do) and you can't use an SD card. Deliberate crippling by Samsung so that they fail sooner.

Had a Note 3, loved it. Now have the Note 4 and can't think of anything I don't like about it. My only real gripe is that compared to my two previous HTC phones, the Samsung GPS is relatively poor at locking on to satellites and keeping the signal consistently.

Doesn't that simply then run on top of touchwiz - i.e. when you boot the phone touchwiz loads first of all and then it launches the nova launcher?
tawse57
20 Nov 15#17
Does this get the latest touchwiz update - i.e. a bit more cut down on the samsung cr*p?

The first thing I do with a new phone is install Nova Prime launcher. I've never used Touchwiz because it's too slow and bloaty.

Price is really good. But I don't think it's worthy an upgrade from Note-3, which is going great atmo.

Good to hear that - and you're absolutely right, of course. I plan to keep my Note 4 for a long time. Note 5 is a disaster!
Nope - that's a white one, and Amazon list them separately. Prices are frequently different, and so are stocks.

Only because they're marketed separately by Amazon, and they usually vary in price. As does the Gold one. They also come in and out of stock at different times, as well as changing price separately.
