I've had my Samsung 2 years and went dead noisy. After negotiating after sales yesterday which wasn't easy, they sent engineer today and motor mounts had dissintigrated( known issue). Took 10 minutes to repair with stronger mounts now excellent again. A lot better than hotpoint and others where you have keep a drawer full of motor bushes that burn out every month. They service centre is hard work and don't expect them to ring you back even if the say they will. But the repairs are a differnt company and are brill just ad is the machine.

Bought this today woooohoooo fantastic - if you like possessed washing machines that walk across your kitchen on the 800spin setting! So annoyed, so from having a washing machine that did a job didnt look appealing but worked ive now got a brand new broken one that shakes the house if you attempt to spin it and no doubt a ball ache of a time ahead trying to get it sorted! im not putting hot or cold as i dont know now i obviously bought it thinking hot but now im thinking its as cold as ice... will let you know how i find the customer service tomorrow ffs

Have you levelled the machine using the adjustable feet on the bottom? If you don't do this it will do exactly as you describe. It's the same with all machines - they need to be levelled with a spirit level for minimum vibration.

Can NOT recommend Samsung washers / washer dryers. Paid over £400 just over 3 years ago when models came with a 2 year guarantee - ours fell apart with fairly moderate use in ~3 years (drum bearings). Samsung want over £780 to fix it for parts alone - have already dished out £100 for engineer to come over for a 5min visit to give it a quick look and hand over the invoice...

Dyson dropped their entire range of washing machines ten years ago due to major reliability issues.
More expensive to fix too and no more reliable than a belt drive machine. They do tend to be quieter, though.

On spin does it sound like someone is trying to land a Chinook on top off your house? If so, sounds like you have the same problems as we did!

This looks a very good deal indeed. I took delivery last Monday of the LG 1400 9kg that was also on here. I must say my wife is thoroughly happy with hers at £359, but this looks a cracking deal and some near £60 cheaper. My brother in law has had a Samsung 5 months and said he is happy with it. Time will tell i suppose. Our Zanussi is outside covered up. Also 1400 spin and in 14 years just the belt come off the once and motor brushes fitted by myself twice. Hope these new fangled machines give us as good service as the older reliable brands did.

Exactly what I did when I got the machine, but when needed 2years after purchase to be told they had no record of me on their system by an Indian call centre, who never had the decency to even call back, the after sales care is terrible I would avoid on this basis alone, the 5 year warranty isn't worth the label it's printed on, I repaired the machine myself after ordering and a wait for the part,
Lesson learnt.

19 Nov 151#26
We have this washing machine but I will never buy a Samsung washing machine again, our heating element blew on ours, I telephoned the number for the 5 year warranty who could not even pull up my details on their system as the department that deals with them were closed they promised to call us back but the call never came, I phoned many many washing repair spare stockists but was told a lot of Samsung parts are not stock items so have to be ordered in specially.
So beware if your machine goes down be prepared to go to the launderette for a while until you can get the thing repaired.

Since the repair, the machine is as it was when delivered from the factory, washes perfectly, spins brilliantly, plays a silly song on completion irritatingly  (yes I know I can turn it off)
But it is noisier than our last machine by quite some margin. Not a big issue, but maybe for others.

Hi, your issue sounds very different from ours, but just as worrying to be honest
Ours was a problem with the motor that turns the steel drum and gets upto a massive 1400rpm - its internal to the machine.
It is behaving now though, and I have to say washes very well - if not a little noisy on spin.

Samsung washing machines are rubbish IMO. If you're a Samsung loyal, then make sure there's at least 5 years Guarantee with it. Otherwise, if you're not fussed about the brand, buy a machine for a cheap price with a minimum of 5 years guarantee.

We have just had to have major repairs done to our 4 month old Samsung Eco Bubble. The rubber bushes (anti-vibration mounts) on the spin motor disintegrated. Bits of chewed up rubber everywhere inside the bottom of the machine. Apparently a known issue with a batch of the mounts ... but Samsung waiting for people to report the problem & then effect a repair.
With out them in place the noise at 1400 rpm was horrendous, we genuinely thought the machine was going to disintegrate.
We have had to have the repair guy out twice, once to replace motor bushes with a different type, and again to replace the plastic drum that surrounds the steel drum, as it was damaged by the motor vibration. That was quite some major repair work !!
Its fine now !! but !!
I have to say even running smoothly ... its hellishly noisy regardless.
Thank heavens for the 5 year Guarantee.
