Sold by Vodaphone so hoping it will be of decent quality, if it is good then I'm thinking about using it in the car via aux cable and usb chager.

Received two today.
1.Clock doesn't update to current time if you switch off and on and press Standby too quickly. They then start from 00:00 permanently. So I think they will not do Daylight Savings switchover properly.
2.If you switch off and on, your alarm settings are forgotten.
Can you others double check?
As DAB, its OK. As alarm, it sucks.
Sigh.

I take it you'll stop assuming this or that WILL happen until it does ?
Sony/LG/Samsung already have many items manufactured in different countries and have been for 20 years. BUT they are very careful of where and by who.
Image, you know.
UNLIKE Panasonic - who I gather are hurriedly trying to repair the damage to theirs, by insisting it was only a small selection at the bottom end of the market.
I dare say people like yourself agreed with the decision by Coca Cola bosses to change the taste of Coke ("New Coke") in the 80s that blew up so disastrously in their faces as "Everyone will be doing it" ?
jasejames
5 Nov 15#64
It's only a matter of time before the remaining proper manufacturers do the same. There's no money in the budget end of the market any more. I take it you'll stop buying Sony, LG and Samsung in due course as well?

75% of the electricals in my house are Sony. And my phone is a Sony Xperia Z2 so I'd say I'm more than up to speed on Sony
And they're fine. But don't get carried away that they're better than Roberts in this regard.

I'd say that was a bit pompous, but if thats your level of conversation how would you know any better ?
Let them eat cake, eh ? And ever heard of MORE than one prezzie for Xmas ? There are "fillers" and "Main prezzie" too. This is the former. A filler, by the way. But some families wouldn't even have this. But I'll not go into a political rant. :stuck_out_tongue:
Curious: So how much do you spend on your wife/girlfriend every year ?
I've been married many years, and my kids are now in their own houses and have their own cars etc. So clearly spending a couple of grand at Christmas for wife/girlfriend perhaps isn't the way ?

Actually no, lots of rural areas can't receive dab transmissions but the phone cellular signal is very often strong.
A cheap £20 mifi will also be handy in their motorhome for internet browsing plus if they have a contract phone plan that includes data they will not even need a mifi.
Remember my reply was to someone who wanted to receive dab out in the sticks and not us townies.

For motorhome use you would be better buying a mifi device and using tunein radio.
Even with a week phone signal it would work with a radio app.

Ordered 2 - one for me, one for the stepdad. Only after using it as a DAB radio/receiver for my sound system to which it seams good at ( alarm clock function being main issue it seams ) really can't argue at the price - only complete chinese DAB radios being cheaper and kitsound do make some fantastic audio equipment for the price - i have a boomdock which is rated 5/5 by a lot of audio websites. Shame they didn't quite nail their usual success formula with this revive - probably why they are so cheap.

This is one of those annoying deals where I'm tempted even though I don't need one. Radios are useless to me unless they have DAB due to the stations I listen to, so I may just buy this as a travel radio. Hmmm...
