I've never understood these pedals. Are they any good on road bikes as off road I'd prefer a simple clip in on either side than a 50/50 chance of clipping in, depending on use of course, but it's easy enough to take the pedals of with an Allen key (as long as you know your threads are different on either side) and replace in less than 5 mins

Wow, that's a lot of bike for the money. Several years ago the Triban 3 was the budget bike to get and that had a similar spec (for the time) and was £300. This is even better :smiley: As others have mentioned too it's a nice touch that it's a triple rather than a double. Heat heat heat!

I'm thinking this is the better bike.

The compact claris groupset seems like a better bet than the triple on the btwin.
Have had nothing but trouble with the triple on my current roux 2300 cyclocross.

Neither..... for resale ease and price you're better off with the Giant Defy 5, which you can get for under £290 at Rutland.

I bought this bike in March for £550 so this is a bargain!

I have this bike,bought it a year ago £300.on ebay.I just give it basic maintenance,I would recommend this deal.

Standard price for this, even marked, down is over £400. So It's clearly a good deal if it's the bike for you. A basic starter road bike with very basic gearing but it's good enough to get you going at that price. If you didn't like it you could probably sell it for not much less than you paid for it.
