Radiohead - The Bends 12" Vinyl Record - £9.99 reduced from £12.99 @ HMV
Online and Instore
It's not the original pressing but still a great price for vinyl. Appreciate vinyl now as expensive as gold and saffron but always good to get a classic 12" for under £10!
I do also buy at independent record shops and hate to contribute to the capitalist blah blah blah.... You know what the rest.
First post so apologies in advance and feedback greatly received!

Some of the older records (80's and earlier) often sound better on Vinyl. I'm not sure about the new stuff or re-issues. I have read that a lot of it depends on how the record is mastered/remastered in the studio. Some of the new stuff is just a digital recording pressed on to vinyl, so there's none of the benefit - just a higher price point as it's more expensive to manufacture (less vinyl pressing plants these days) and also it's popular with hipsters

Nice to see vinyl at a reasonable price. I wonder if it's pressed from an analogue source, or just a CD pressed on to vinyl. Personally I would choose this over any crappy lossy format. Then again, the original CD is probably only a few pounds to buy used.

Well, The Bends was definitely better than OK Computer, but that's not saying much as they are both incredibly good. But every album they ever released is at least a 8/10 - and that includes the B-sides.

Nothing wrong with CD, or even digital rips or said CD (wav/flac) either, as loom as your DAC is quality. After that, it basically comes down to studio production quality and dynamic range. IMO.

Yes, really, since the year dot Linn were diehard vinyl supporters, however now even they have their own cd players!
Anyone who has grown up in the era of vinyl and been through the mill knows all the disadvantages of vinyl. That war was over long ago.

The Bends and OK Computer are the Rubber Soul and Revolver of the nineties.
After OK Computer, they went a tad mad.

Are we voting on the deal or the Album? Great album, bad price. Get the cd at Zoverstocks for around £2. Dont get me wrong, I'm a huge fan but this is an old repackaged album that can be had for a lot less. Save your money guys unless you really must have vinyl.
