So £3.17 a Kg, Aldi is 75p a kg. Whizz it through a blender so it makes smoother porridge, job done.

My son gets through tons of this stuff, just got 2 packs for £4. I'll be stocking up, thanks

Au contraire - it's just dust so no need to wash it.

I think they must have a machine that carefully places one dubious 'black bit' in every sachet.

Now it's hot lots of people will now buy loads of plastic wrapped oats in tiny sachets rather than consider the cheaper price and no waste of normal bags of Porridge Oats.
Inb4 "Quaker tastes nicer.." No it doesn't, it's all just plain and simple Porridge Oats. :stuck_out_tongue:

£1 in Asda I'm 99% sure it's the same stuff. Lots of other flavours too.

I also buy 1kg of supermarket own - I cannot tell difference from branded & I'm a bit of a fussy eater. Spoon of honey with it for me .

Lots oat so simple flavours I have also seen reduced to a pound in asda. A coupke of oatso simple flavours are also in one of the pound shops , might have been pound stretcher.
The pound shop sells oats but is a different brand and you get less weight.
I add mixed fruit or sultanas to make a delicious start for they day. Feel like a, make sure you get your oats every day , joke coming on, but seriously supposed to be good for lowering your cholesterol!

Worth noting that these are the big bowl version rather than the normal size.
