I appreciate this was in an Amazon flash deal last week, but this is the current best pricing I can see by a fair shot.

Got this on the Amazon offer the other day, I can't say RPGs are usually my thing but this I found really accessible. Really lovely premium package, would still be good value at nearly double this price as there's so much content. Absolutely love the lush changing environments and weather effects. Gives off a strong LOTR vibe. The only criticism I can find is the central character being infinitely less interesting than a lot of the characters you'll encounter. That and the constant brooding Solid Snake/David Hayter impersonation that often has my eyes rolling. Is it me or is Geralt allergic to using an 'I' or 'we' before any sentence he utters?
I'll probably end up putting my hand in my pocket for the expansions as I can't argue with the quality or value that I've seen so far. Anyone after a collector's edition of the hearts of stone expansion pack on Ps4, GameStop are doing it for £15.97 + delivery.

is it worth getting good the expansion packs at same time as game or are they completed after main story? Does the 19.99 include all expansion future packs (if any) ?

Have they fixed the small font issue for consoles ? This really annoyed me on the PS4

No but I managed to find a fix. I sit 2 inches from my tv when I play it.

Give it time, trust me you're in for a treat with Geralt's story.

There's an incredible amount of gameplay to be had for the money here.
Spot on re: David Hayter. I've not read the Witcher books or played the previous games in the series and Geralt feels a tad identikit to me. Even though you're given a choice of how to respond in conversations, his emotionless delivery is identical each time; doesn't get angry, never looks happy, so it doesn't feel like my choices are developing his character in any way.

If anyone is planning on playing this for the first time, I would suggest not buying the expansion pass yet, by the time you have finished the core game the pass might have gone on sale.

Its probably because in-game its explained that when Witchers are made the process strips them of emotions, this is not entirely true though as Geralt and the other Witcher do have emotions, they just never express them externally.

I'm sure it is entirely intentional on the part of the developers as Keira has a couple of jibes at Geralt for being sullen. Letho delivers his lines in exactly the same deadpan manner so what you said makes sense. Unless of course they just wrote that bit in afterwards to explain away Geralt's lack of character.

a lot of gaming for your money ! people need to know that the expansions is not just another 'map and weapon' like it was in Destiny. you practically get another 20h+ story line.

Probably the best next gen game I have played and I hate RPG's.
Favourite parts: Going deep inside Keira, Yen and Triss :man:
