I purchased this game physically from a member here just after its release, I sold it within days due to the fact I just had a plain inability of:
A: Driving in a straight line
B: Driving a car at all.
I played Gran Turismo from way back on the PlayStation 1 and loved them all. This game however is so hard it hurts.....BUT...I went on to purchase it digitally from the PlayStation Store (knowing I couldn't sell it and a £44.99 purchase would be sat on my HDD) because I was damned if I was going to let it beat me. That was 3 months ago, MAN I LOVE THIS GAME! Honestly, I don't think a day (maybe two) has passed where I haven't had it on. Great price, heat added.
TLDR: If Project CARS seems hard, stick with it, if I can do it, anybody can

I know this game is a bit marmite but...just got back into driving games after a decent play at FarCry4 and some other FPS. Really wanted to get into Driveclub - tried it and I was all over the place. Sparked up Cars and it was fab. I have a wheel set up and like others had to fiddle with the FFB settings but when this is dialled in, there's nothing like it. I'm a GT fan from the PS1 days. I love the fact that with a bit of tweeting I can play this EXACTLY as I want. By that I mean, helmet view (with helmet hidden), corner apex look and lean, accel and brake camera movement, only gear and tyre stats on hud. Importantly I can set my own difficulty level (80% on Formual Rookie currently) and play the way I want to. It's a sim so it's tricky but so rewarding when 'you get it' - hope you do to!

Pity PC's and Forza on Youtube HD still looks very gamey whereas GT6 looks more realistic. I'll wait for GTS!

Please don't lie , store prices are based off website prices and the website price is £20
I wish I had a wheel that worked with it on PS4, I have a Logitech Driving Force but it's not compatible for stupid reasons and can't afford/don't want to buy a new one. To get 900 degree steering and force feedback it would cost £300, compared to the wheel I have now I got for £50.

Yes, PS4 (fiddling on menues when you have pc is ok, on the console the experience was UBER anoying) since you could only change the setting when you exit the race, go to a menu select other thingh load the whole track agian test, go back to the menu and etc.. really taking the ****

the game is hard, no complains about it, you may like it or not, BUT the game was broken and was not ready to play out of the box. I had to try 15 controllers configuration and watch many videos to manage to turn using even the less powerful cars. after 10hs of trying and error the game is "playable" and that is not acceptable to me.

I can't stress enough how much even more fun this game is with a good wheel. I played it during beta with a PS3 controller. Mate purchased me a G27 and I went from enjoying it to absolutely loving it! If you ever find yourself looking at a Steering Wheel deal, do it!

I got it digital aswel it really started to wind me up when doing a 2hr race and loosing control for no reason then I stopped playing, it wasnt until i played it with my mates wheel that i started to love it the game just isnt comfortable with a controller

Cheers for that. Bought it on steam around release, and dabbled a bit but got fed up with the handling etc, and went back to Horizon 2. Might fire it up when I'm done with Forza 6 and persevere with it.

Its more of a simulator than a game. Its as realistic as possible, because that is what the community who were playing the game from the Alpha up wanted and this was the full intention of the game.

I think all the issues with using a controller has been fixed now in patches, I only use a controller and don't have any problems and often beat wheel users (I can hear their wheels on their mic making noise). I did modify the controller settings in 1.0 version of the game and am not sure if those modifications are still there after all the patches that came out but it's fine for me. Sometimes you need to change the car setup, downforce and toe-in angles if you're racing an F1 around Monaco but it's a sim.

awesome price and game. Agree with all the comments .. you want realism - its the way to go.. get a wheel its easier and more rewarding. For arcade.. Forza or Driveclub. General rule of thumb.. die hard frustrating simulation = PCARS. Arcade fun with a pad - Forza..
I have both and both are good on their merrits but as I have the steering wheel PCars is awesome.

I agree with the 2 post here, BUY ONLY IF YOU ARE GOING TO FIDDLE WITH MENUES FOR HOURS until you got the controller setting right, is a OK game. if not move along.
I realized after this game i would not ever again buy a game that have circuits...
This is the game that make me look back to driveclub and realize how great it is
Price is hot, but the game is not (i only play racers)
OP : Support for 30+ wheels, this is PC i would remove that from the PS4 version this game work in like 2 wheels max
