I'd suggest holding fire on this deal until tomorrow when the first big patch is released. If the keepers and refereeing isn't fixed don't bother. This game is utterly infuriating when world class keepers regularly let in pea-rollers and constantly set up the opposition for rebound goals with poor saves. I've had my copy since launch and stopped playing it a week later. If this patch doesn't fix the issues I'm selling it and sticking with PES15.
I suggest everyone interested in this game wait until tomorrow before deciding as the issues really are too hard to ignore. Makes you wonder just which game the press was playing to award it such high scores.

The verdict is in - Konami have ignored their entire community and not fixed a single thing. Hell they even managed to mess up their transfers with players like Lindegaard, Evans and Chicharito still at Manchester United!
I cannot in good faith recommend this game to anyone. It's just too broken, too out of date, is useless online and is made by a developer who could not care less about their player-base. Shame on the journalists that dished out high scores to this game. My copy has now been put up for sale on eBay and I'll be sticking with PES15. I advise all who are interested in a PES game to pick up last year's version as well because PES16 is utterly infuriating.

Interested in the above comment. Got PES2015 after ditching the series when it went downhill a good few years ago and have to say I've been impressed. It would be such a shame if the welcomed rise back to form is undermined by such trivial yet annoying gameplay glitches.
And, for what's it's worth, FIFA has remained awful throughout this time. Horrible, horrible games.

Also does PES have proper names now? Instead of Roonie and Rinaldo and stupid things like that?

No, but you can see passed this due to the Game play, it really is a great Footie game.. Very fast and smooth.

Check out the option file you ca. Download from pesworld.com gives you proper kites etc.

It has all the names just not the managers names and the kits. The option file is super easy and I've had all the kits and badges since the day it came out.

i think it's a plan tp always leave a major glitch in each release to guarantee next years purchase. the reffing in 15 is a joke

Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 - Day One Edition PS3 New £24.99
I'd hold off for a bit longer as the price is dropping a lot. It will be around £20 by black Friday I bet.

Is this an option file as it used to be? As from what I have read, you have to go into each team and update it all within the game, rather than transferring one file?

For some reason, the price is showing as £39.99. Has the deal expired ???

It's pesworld.co.uk
The Project Engineering Services guys were most unwilling to help me change the names of PES players. Selfish.....

Got to agree with this. I love this game, check my previous comments. It is easily the best football game I have played in all aspects of the game....except for the keeper AI department! Sadly this one annoyance is a big one, and after dozens of matches on it, it gets incredibly annoyiith tomorrows updates, I will probably sell my copy, completely ruins what should easily be the greatest football game so far imo.

FIFA 16 is ruined by scripting. PES 16 is fun for a few days, then it becomes infuriating. It just doesn't feel like a football game. It's end to end with little build-up play and the ball flies around like a balloon. The most fun thing was modifying the kits etc.

pretty bad year for footy games ah,
ea going further and further down the scripted route and its just blatant now,
the Canadian dev team that makes fifa are getting very stale, maybe time for another team to take over.

I've got this game through bespoke for £22.86 so I'm happy with my price got it last week then heard bespoke is shutting down I can't believe how they lasted this long anyway how can I get the original team names and kits is there a option file for all the premier league teams and I had about the update for tomorrow are all transfers going to be updated thanks

Couldn't you have got it cheaper then that with Bespoke?
They offered £25 off for 'Beat my Price'?

can anyone tell me how to update teams. does this have to be complete manually? new to PES

So tempting but might see if I can pick it up cheaper on black friday with a few others

Haven't played PES in a while, been away from home. Main thing for me is the GK update, everything else can be sorted out with an option file. Have they fixed the GK issue?

Transfer still not up to date. Save your money. Sports games are never ready on release anymore and go out of date very quickly - any other game you might as well wait for the price to come down and a few patches to be released so you know it works.
