Yeah, they announced the US price at $20 and then around 3 days later news broke that they were only having one DLC. The price on the EU blog was removed and we could Preorder at an increased price, whereas the US was still $20.
The initial price was likely an error, although Sony have said they "don't do conversation rates" on prices in the past, so the price was hiked. That is fine. Mistakes happen. I have emailed, tweeted and used the blog and they haven't acknowledged the price increase or apologized for it.
As such, I keep going on about it and I will refuse to buy it until the price is lowered or they apologize. It won't make a difference, but it is the principle of the matter for me..

Exactly this. A graphical rehash with minor alterations (specifically more with FIFA even more so than COD) isn't on the same level as FS products. There is rehashing and there is rebuilding. I don't personally consider FS have stooped to this. As pointed out, yet...

Whilst I totally agree with your point (genuinely I do) this is Sony we are talking about. They are useless at broadcasting any information other than at conferences and interviews. You only have to head over to the official PlayStation blogs and how they hardly ever reply to any consumers questions and complaints. Doesn't make it excusable at all, quite the opposite. The initial price of £11.99 would be equal to less than $19 US. Like it or not (and I loathe it) but our VAT system is higher than that of the US and around £15 is what I would have expected to pay against a US $20 price with that in mind. I don't want to sound like that guy who's defending price hiking, but despite as hard as it is to believe with my previous words, I'm dead against it. But I do understand it on this one. As for the DLC info and FS decision to include it all in one had already been broadcast by that company. Check out Marcus page on YouTube aka EpicNameBro, he's one of the guys who have developed the official guide for the new DLC, he also confirms they are now releasing it all as one download which up until recently they were not. It's just that Sony has been (as per usual) $hite at pointing this out.

I understand totally people going on about the price going up slightly, but if people do the research you'll see even more content has been added since that original £11.99 price. Effectively the DLC for this was going to come in 2 parts at £11.99 each, instead they decide to stick it all together as one download and people go mental. After the amount of £40+ I've spent on $hite games over the years. You know, I haven't got a problem spending £15.99 on DLC for a game that I consider my personal GOTY this year. Take my money FromSoftware that I'll be saving from buying re-hashed versions of COD and FIFA people seem to be happy paying over the odds year in year out!

From Software are releasing a Souls game once per year now.
Dark Souls 2 - Spring 2014
Bloodborne - Spring 2015
Dark Souls 3 - Spring 2016
I wasn't aware of this on the DLC pricing, so good news if true. But the same year in year out full price criticism can be given to From Software nowadays.

If true, then maybe they should announce that that is what they have done, and explain that that is the reason for the price increase. Also, in the US the price was announced at $20 and it hasn't changed, it was announced the same day as the UK/EU price...so colour me skeptical.

While Bloodborne follows the same formula, and I like to treat it as a Souls game, it is not a Souls game. The difference is not just with the name. Though not to detract from the point of them "making too many games", it definitely seems to me that the majority feel that the quality is kept high enough, and there always feels like a consistent overhaul with each full release to make this statistic less of an issue. If anything, personally I felt that Dark Souls and Demon's Souls felt the most similar with a 2 year gap.
It seems pretty clear that the response you made was to someone who feels that FIFA and other series' have become a yearly cash-in for a few touchups and a graphics update. I don't agree that From Software are at this stage yet.

This really oversells the Chalice Dungeons, am I missing a new feature or something?
If by creating, they mean pressing X on a menu and randomly generating a dungeon then sure but they make it sound like Mario Maker.

Has anyone had experience of game saves working across two versions of games. I was a bit late to the party and got Bloodborne with CEX vouchers and am a fair way in but wondered if the 'old' saves would work if I got this. Any help appreciated.

Not a bad price, base game £24 and then DLC on top. Not sure you can get the base game new for that low still?
Side note: I preferred the DLC price when they announced it at £11.99. Not buying it until it is back to that price, or an apology is made.

I meant it has they expect us to buy the game once than a year later buy it again full whack!
Obviously we can guess which games are GOTY but for those who buy day 1 do get a slap in the face.

Games always get cheaper as they mature, same with movies, music, books and so on. The original can be upgraded to the GotY edition for £16, so you don't have to buy this if you have the original since this is just the original game and the £16 DLC. Now Destiny on the other hand is a different kettle of fish...

No, I think they expect people who have the game to buy the expansion and the people that don't buy this. If people are so obsessive that they buy this having bought the original well then that's a good price problem for them to have

The expansion pack is only 15.00 on the sony store , which is fairly cheap by their standards.....but that kind of leads me to believe the expansion might not be all that big....I hope it is a big expansion......as I really like the game !!
