Sorry but 16gb is feeble. The deal from the Moto store is better - 32gb, free customization etc

It does, fully charged in 50 minutes, but it doesn't come in the box.

I think there's quite a wide consensus the X Play cameras is better FWIW, not just you. The age thing is worth considering as you might get two whole updates from from the XP, but prob just one more from X2014. I think I'm also right in saying having read the Motorola blog recently that the updates will be removing some Moto Actions due to duplication with Android core features... For me the battery, camera and SD slot are the killer features. Oh and the XP supports turbo charging - I don't remember if the X2014 does?

Return the moto x play i just bought for £200 and buy this? 5.2" Amoled screen, 4K camera more ram... Opinions?

Moto X(2014) is better in day to day in terms of speed but limited as no sd card so depends on what you want but for me the 16gb on it rules it out

I have this phone and am/was considering getting the play.
It just depends on your preference, I believe neither phone is better or worse than the other and for 25£ I don't think you should look that much at the price.
So
X14 has
Better (imo as it is amoled) screen
Much lighter and not that much smaller (5.2" vs 5.5")
Metal rim instead of plastic one
Full range of Moto actions, such as active display (which doesn't light up the whole room or eat battery as it does on the play)
Camera is ok, but imo play is better
Better processor
Play gets you
Much bigger battery
Better camera
SD card support
Being a year newer

It just depends on your preference, I believe neither phone is better or worse than the other and for 25£ I don't think you should look that much at the price.
