It was a good thing u made a complain and got something back otherwise they got away with it, u lose out + causing u embarassment, they probably done this to plenty of people. I think they are a franchise pizza express, wanting to make more money in cash from the owner(s) instruction.

I think they were bullsh*tting you. I used 3x codes at a pizza express once, nearly £50 worth.
(Unless I've misunderstood, were you saying the chicken meat isn't halal or that the chicken is and the other meat isn't?)

Funny, I don't see the word "Mod" after your name??? :stuck_out_tongue: We all have a choice (my point really), I have the choice to respond, you have the choice to ignore my comments. You DONT however, have the choice to restrict free speech, if it really upsets you that much, report it, but please don't self appoint yourself as the censor police, there's enough on here already without new members trying to dictate.
Instead of trying to police the site, try making a contribution, nearly a year with no deals and hardly any comments?

No, and that's exactly my point, they would have been better just keeping things as they were as opposed to catering for ONE minority group!! Again, with no racial intent, would I be able to move to a Muslim country and demand that they change their ways to suit me? (that's a rhetorical comment, no need to answer!).

nah they should just whip the animals head off and be done with it, no need for any of this religious rubbish

So Pizza Express should offer meat killed by every possible method to please all customers? Doesn't sound very practical.

I contacted them after and they said theyd give me a £10 voucher which i thought was a cheek as i was out of pocket the voucher which had expired and my £10! they gave me £20 gift card in the end..rubbish cs x

That was exactly the short sighted response I expected, hence my comment regarding relationships! That is not a valid answer, I could easily say, "why bow down to a minority group, if they don't like it, let them eat elsewhere", but I wouldn't!! I accept that everyone has the right to their choice, removing the rights of one to favour another is just unacceptable and wrong and only serves to increase segregation and tension.

frakison
6 Nov 15#22
While not wanting to wade into this one, I think both sides have a point. The issue here is that one persons beliefs should not outweigh another. Muslim folk want their meat "blessed" and allowed to bleed out in a pretty gruesome manner, I don't, surely there should be a choice as opposed to one dictating for all? To put it in an extreme context, if there was a minority group who believed that all relationships should be same sex, would you be happy being forced to obey it or go without?
Nothing wrong in everyone having a choice, but that's the point, EVERYONE should have the choice. Vegetarians can have the non-meat option, Muslims can have the Halal option, but where's the option for those of us who don't agree with Halal?
