"RRP" is almost £50 (because we all take notice of RRP, don't we?)

You can actually end up getting these for free if you haven't used or registered with topcashback before. They're offering 100% cashback on eBay purchases up to £10
* Please note item 4299659 has previously been on sale at 19.99.

What they don't tell you is that they have been cheaper than £19.99.
Can't be bad for a tenner, heat added.

I believe that with headphones it is literally a case of "horses for courses" my daughter LOVES her Beats, whereas I have a set of £20 Sony MDX in ear headphones, I dislike the beats...I know this does not help, but perhaps the best solution is to read reviews on both products, then take a gamble based upon the reviews.
I know I may be being gullible, but the Philips ones "were" originally £50...Sony ones "were" £20 originally, based on that I would go for the Philips.

For some reason the when you search for the headphones in eBay there's no link to the argos deal

Philips. Every time. And I was the one who posted the Sony HUKD deal. I even put on the Sony deal that they weren't terribly good headphones! Philips, on the other hand, do make fantastic sounding headphones. I'd say the build quality isn't quite as good as Sony though...

@causingit - they don't appear on ebay after you use the topcashbacklink, only the £14.95 ones and only then not in black :disappointed:

As you get older your hearing range diminishes, which is why when you can afford high end hifi it is not worth buying becuase you cannot notice the difference. Many moons ago, at school the physic master asked the class to put their hands in the air while he turned a signal generator through the range. You were to put your hands down when you could no longer hear anything. It was remarkable the difference in one class of children the hearing range.
What I am trying to say is each persons perception of sound is different.
You need to try out headphones or any form of speakers. What one person likes another person may hate.

Paid via Fast Track yesterday, Argos cancelled my order with no explanation. Tried that eBay link today, it does not let me buy it! I guess it's a sign I should go for Sony headphones lol

This is total BS. So I clicked thru from a new Topcashback account to get the £10 cashback.
Ordered headphones, got error message about transaction. Email from Paypal said payment was made.
Log in to Paypal, I see payment has been reversed!
Went back to ebay to reorder. Now I can only choose next nearest store to collect. Ordered, went thru fine.
Just checked this morning and now Paypal have refunded and order has been cancelled!!! Saying out of stock... wtf.
So I bypass eBay and check on argos website. Shows they have stock in BOTH stores nearest to me!
Opening post
