Maximum microwave power: 950 W Capacity: 23 litres Inverter technology
10 auto programs.
Great reviews. Inverter tech should ensure even cooking. If you happen to be buying a large appliance at ao.com they are currently offering £20 back for every extra appliance you buy (so main large purchase needed). They will price match Currys so potentially you could get this for £49. Checked Camelcamel and cheapest it's been is £79. Don't forget Quidco 1.5% on this.

None will because metal cannot be put in a microwave (it will cause sparks). Any which look like metal are metal effect plastic. It would have been nice if this one was Stainless Steel on all of the outside though.
Well I suppose there will be lots of sparks in this one then.http://www.johnlewis.com/bosch-hmt75g451b-microwave-with-grill-silver/p231283644
Unfortunately it is too small for my needs.
If you use it on the microwave setting with the rack inside, expect sparks and bad things to happen.
That rack is for the Grill to lift your food closer to it. Also found it ones that feature convection fan ovens.
As it goes, you can now get a few microwaves that DO allow you to use metal utensils - I would guess maybe because they don't have a rotating glass plate, the item would be grounded and effectively be part of the base, maybe? https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=NN-CF853WBPQ&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

Bought this last night and does not appear to have quick start option.
e.g press one button once for 30 secs, twice for 1 minute etc then off it goes which is what I'm used to.
Only appears to be a multi step selection.
Select power
Press turn dial to release (its recessed)
Then turn dial to select time
If a bit OCD like me, recess the turn dial again
Then select start.
This wouldn't put me completely off, but the turn dial feels cheap and scratchy to turn, so think will bug me. I'm a bit funny when it comes to quality of dials! (Glad I called it a dial and not a knob!)
Unless anyone can tell me of a quick start that I'm missing, its going back to currys and I'm tweaking a few dials in public!

Pretty sure they don't have quick start and it is as you describe. I had the same issue with the dial. I took it back and the replacement was fine. Main advantage is the inverter tech, cooks food very evenly. Not much better out there for £70!!

Aah, a doctor Evil after my own heart, I very much like a high quality knob too, and that does look cheap and plasticky, even before we get to the scratchy action. For this reason, I'm ooout.
I am however thinking about 2 other Pannys, the £90 one from Curry's or the FLATBED type = NO turntable technology, amazepings! That one is about £150 though, and I'm not made of money, but even if I was, I wouldn't cannibalize my precious flesh to afford that, coz that would be CRAZEEEE!

You could still have PAINTED stainless steel, which would obviously not rust when it gets the odd chip/ worn out patch, which could then be touched up.

Thanks jumbo. Was going to ask for refund, but have me in 2 minds now.
Will check out display model to see if dial feels smoother as will bug me.
Our old cheap Sanyo microwave has really smooth quality feel dial, much more solid feel to the overall oven, with quick start but sadly cutting out every once in a while so needs to replaced.

That is just nonsense. (I'm being very polite!)
Most commercial microwaves have a stainless 'cavity' - and so do some (usually more expensive) domestic models.

It's smaller than my old Sharp (25 litre) which does need replacing but I'm still on the fence as it's a deal but not some crazy deal.

Been looking for a microwave so looks perfect, see if John Lewis price match it for a 2 year warranty on top.

I bought one of these at about twice the RRP 4 years ago (not the same model, clearly). Fortunately had a 5 year guarantee as the inverter has been changed twice and I suspect that it is going again. Must be something in the early design of the one that we have that is causing the problems.
