Don't think it matters whether you have a 1000, 2000, 3000, 6000 or whatever. I've used these for years, I replace the bodies every 2-3 years (the batteries "weaken" after a while) and the heads every 2-3 months. My dentist always says my brushing is very good (my flossing is not so good unfortunately).
You shouldn't/don't need to apply too much pressure to achieve a good result.
This is a good price, and if you don't already own one, I'd say it's an investment in your teeth that will ultimately save you money at the dentist. so I've replaced my current body.
Don't forget TCB/Quidco.

Yes posted by me in vouchers, but as most people look in deals first I thought more people would see it here, hope that is OK with everyone.

Whats the difference between this model and the 3000? It states on website the 3,000 has sensitivity but what does that actually mean?

When you press the brush head too hard against your teeth/gums, it lights up red. Having used the 3000 for many years, I would say the sensitivity feature is unnecessary as you're unlikely to apply that much force anyway.

Also you get an extra brush head included in the box with the 3000.

That's not correct, they both have a pressure sensor. I believe the sensitivity is a slower speed, so when you turn the brush on, if you press the button again it goes into "sensitive" mode. I have it on my toothbrush but never ever used it.

Any good for kids ? 11 years old.

Yes. My 13 year old has had one for a couple of years. A bit of supervision would be recommended at first (to make sure too much pressure isn't applied and all areas are covered)

Yep, my youngest started using hers when she was 6, they do extra soft heads for children.

I bought one on Amazon back in July for £28 (£32 - £4 voucher).
This is a very very good price if you intend to buy one.

Shouldn't 2 brushes be £39.98? If adding 8 heads and getting an additional £20 off comes to £59.87 that would make the heads almost £40!

Maybe I should have said... "you get £10 of each brush", but I did not say "additional £20 off"

Thanks. Ordered one. The Pro 2000 works at the same speed as all models above it. No need to pay more for all the fancy 'extras'. Partner already has the 3000 and never uses the additional functions. Turn it on, brush teeth, turn it off. Its a toothbrush!

Bought one, and on reflection ordered another. thanks OP! Re Quidco, like TCB, Boots cashback is itemised by type of purchase and if new Boots customer or not. Of the two TCB seems to have the edge slightly, and my first purchase (as an existing customer) is tracking at 50p.

Great deal, thanks - got a replacement 2000 as ours is so old it needs to be on charge daily, and got a 3000 for the kids (first one for them, so figure would use the sensitive setting)

To everyone that has bought, take a minute to register your new brush as you will gain an extra 12-months warranty (extend from 2-years to 3) for free. Details are in the box
The jury seems to be out on this with varying opinions, although it does not appear to make a lot of difference what you do. Personally, I intend to use it until the low-battery warning light comes on (bottom light) and then charge it fully. Apparently, using twice a day it is expected to last a week before needing a charge.

Can confirm it still works but one point - it doesn't work on the limited edition pink version (same price, same 2000 model). Only worked on the standard blue one.
