U can have up to a total of 4 devices (eg nowtv boxes, laptop, mobile) per account, but only watch 2 at the same time.

I've looked at your link and read how to install Plex, however, still a few questions - do I download films to my PC and store them there first (my PC also doesn't have a working sound card, does that matter) - then, on my Now TV box, click the Plex picture? Do I have to log in to my PC from the Now TV box or something first before I can watch the film upstairs? Sorry, a bit vague as to how Plex works and what/how you view things in Plex on the Now TV box. Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

Install the Plex media server software on the PC where the Media is stored, point it to the folder(s) containing your media files and it will 'scrape' them and download the tv/movie posters and synopsis. The Plex media server will then broadcast itself on your home wireless network.
Then when you run the Plex software on the NowTV box it will scan your home network and see the Plex server software and connect to it. Doesn't matter that PC has no sound card.
Plex is also available for IOS/Android and most smart devices..TV's/BluRay players etc...

This is probably a stupid question - sorry - but where do you get media for plex? Eg movies or tv shows? ie how do u get media to store in plex?

You can Rip DVD's on your PC...
I'm told there are also some less legitimate methods as well :smirk:

I recommend this as have this exact unit. We didn't have time to use it and cancelled our contract, but you get to keep the box which is handy as you can still access the network to view 4 on Demand, ITV catch up, BBC iPlayer, etc. Easy to setup, (2 mins genuinely), and you just need an HD cable from the NOW TV box to the TV as the internet connection is picked up wirelessly.

I've just got the sky movies pass up and running but don't have any of the Xmas channels u see advertised???
After the 14 day trial, it says £9.99 a month unless cancelled. So if you cancel say on about day 10 of the trial, when the 14 days are up, does the 3 months pass then kick in automatically, or do you have to enter a code for it? Thank you.

Is there anything to stop you using the 3 month pass and at the end of it, buy a new box and use the pass again? Would you have to sign up for a new account each time or is it just a code?

Nope. You just add the code you get in you new box set and it gives you the 3months access entertainment on your existing account. I've got 2 boxes already thou lost my remote for one. So I cancelled my pass last week. Brought one of these which included the 2 months movie pass and added the code online to my existing account. At the time it was £14.99, so got 2 months (usually £9.99) , a new remote and spare box

My monthly payment went out about 9 days ago - just wondering, if I cancel today (so I can go and get this deal), will they let me still watch my films up until the current month runs out (which I have paid for), or will they stop everything today so that I end up paying a full month's subscription but then only get 9 days of films)? Thank you.
Uridium to Sophiasky

Subscription will work fine until end of the month you've paid for.
I've cancelled many trials as soon as starting them to ensure I don't get charged. Then used them up to end of trial period

I'm not sure this is such a good deal. for £14.99 (but without the entertainment pass) you can get the new now tv, which is 1080p and has an ethernet port. if you're planning on streaming using a plex server, I would highly recommend the new one.

I wouldn't bother purchasing the NowTV (1st Gen) White Box's as the New 2015 NowTV (2nd Gen) Black boxs are being sold for £10.
Unless of course you can find them for less than £5.
Opening post
Has been cheaper at Currys as an end of line.97p item but only if you can find one.
Argos seem to have plenty of stock of this one though

I use them for my kids bedrooms as they have no TV aerials. All the Tv catchup services are on there and I also sideload Plex so they can streams shows and movies I have stored at home.
