So, I bought a couple of these.
The sim does not appear to have £10.00 preloaded though.
If you try to make a call it puts you through to the top-up service, after telling you there is no funds for a call.
If I text ba to 150, it says £0.00 / unlimited texts/250 mins/10mb
If I call 150 it says the pack is waiting to start when I top up by £10.00.
Therefore there is no £10.00 credit included with these. Sucks.

Tried buying in-store, they wanted me to get the £10 top-up. Stood outside the store, used the Argos app to reserve, and walked back in to pick it up for £4.99! Switching this on has been like a time-warp back to the year 2000, will make a good backup phone, shame the bluetooth won't play music or I'd have got another as a bluetooth music player for the car.

Anybody tried out the MP3 player on this yet? I'm thinking about getting something like this instead of a Sansa.
I was just looking at a similar Nokia, but one review said it just lists all tracks in one big list without artists or directories. Another had problems with headphones apparently.

I have got an older Nokia model that i use as second phone (waiting phone call from hospital for a transplant for my son). My new smartphone has a crap signal, battery need charging on a daily basis. My Nokia's battery last about 4 to 5 days, thus i don't use it at all, the signal is strong everywhere (even in the lift at work - this phone is on GiffGaff). The ring tone is really loud too. I know the new phones are great for social media, watching videos etc, but if you need it just for phone calls they can't beat the old phones. And it is tiny too

providing you are on the right network, you will need to get a SIM converter. You can find them cheaply in most mobile phone shops or your network shop may give you one for free

Pack consists of a sim and a card but I didn't have to do anything in terms of topping up. As soon as I inserted the sim i got a text message that I need to activate to detect location via sim and the next message was about £10 credit will be activated as soon as I make first call and the balance has to be used within 30 days.
Sorry if any typo mistake. Multitasking atm!!!

It was in store. I also asked if it was to be topped up with £10? But I told him that there are many who got it without paying £10 top up. Without any question he added £10 to the bill and deducted it from total.

Thanks op. Just tried my luck and the person on till didn't ask me for a top up. I paid £4.99 and also received £10 top up card which was in the box.
Also received a text conforming from EE which says that the credit of£10 will be activated as soon as I make a first call.
All in all a great deal.

All PAYG phones from Argos require a top up whether it shows the top up image or not. I thought that was general knowledge. The only way to get out of buying the top up is to use Fast Track.
