No worries. It's something I was conscious of when purchasing a Nespresso machine. Obviously more waste than using a cafetiere or similar but I didn't want cheaper pods whereby there was so much waste that couldn't be recycled.

How recycleable are the compatible pods?

It's usually parts of them that are recyclable i.e. the pods are usually plastic and can be recycled depending on your council recycling, the packet that the pod comes in usually isn't and the cardboard outer packaging is. The best ones for recycling appear to be the Taylors of Harrogate ones where the pods don't come in a packet so you only have the plastic pod and the cardboard packaging.
Tbh, I've tried most of the non-Nespresso pods and I've found they don't taste as good, anyway.

They may be not as eco friendly as using a cafetiere or similar but the capsules are aluminium and Nespresso do recycle these, which is good compared to a lot of the other capsules.

green here for 55 quid, eligible for free delivery too :
Looking for one of these for wifes xmas present, but I think the pink one will be more her colour!
I also think the mini whisk will be less hassle. You can buy them for 3 quid, and it's only my son that drinks Moccachinos anyway (hot frothy milk with chocolate on top) - bit better that forking out 90 quid on this and the Aero thingy deal!
We currently have a delonghi coffee maker that's perfectly fine - but my wife wants one of these eco unfriendly money sapping gimmicks! (basically to save on having to empty grounds into the bin). The Nespresso coffee may be nice, but I don't even think she knows how to use the coffee maker we have properly to appreciate the taste of real coffee! She only likes costa coffee and only has espressos for the caffeine hit - but drinks decaf tea!

Really easy. A quick rinse of the main unit, the little whisk and the lid. Although when I had one I did find that you needed to use a lot more milk than you require for one person so as I was just making a coffee for myself I went back to using one of the handheld frothers.

It works superbly, the frother attachment works via a hidden magnet and pops out, its as easy to clean as a mug also its Teflon coated, tip as soon as the red light goes out pour out the milk froth, if you leave it more than a few seconds it sets and you have to spoon it out, and is not as authentic as the coffee shop one.

You can also flog the milk heater for £30. Microwave a mug of milk, give it a whizz with one of those little milk frothers, no washing up. Cleaning the aeroccino looks like a right faff.

Sorry, speaking of the "effective" payment as I calculate it. You'll get a £75 voucher instead of £45 without the frother. So the difference between the £89 and £75 is £14 which you effectively pay for the machine as you need the capsules anyway. Jonnoson's offer brings it down to £6 effective payment. Of course you need to pay the £81 first. But I need a bunch of capsules anyway

Or you can currently get this bundle in white from Curry's for £80.99 :
For anything cappuccino or else related I'd recommend going with this:http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00J5W99UQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1447055568&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX110_SY165&keywords=nespresso+inissia&dpPl=1&dpID=41t5DecpmSL&ref=plSrch
Same machine (for me nicer colour) plus the Aeroccino3. Which is simply amazing milk frother! Gives 75 pounds in credit (which you need anyway) so in total 6 pounds more expensive than this offer, but including the Aeroccino, worth 30 or so?

Only coffee pods, but they are by far the best, especially Nespresso's own pods..... but the pies are a little more expensive than those for other machines (though they're gotten a lot cheaper since other brands have started making them).
