these are fine and very cheap but they waste a lot of space with that bottle opener, it could be a small one on the side like the can opener which would leave more useful space for something else.

As a general rule the laws on knives are patchily enforced and like most UK laws are down to discretion and interpretation. If you are doing something the police see as wrong they will use it as a cause to book you, if you are just the average joe they wouldn't even have cause to search you for it in the first place let alone book you for it.
Always exercise a bit of discretion, but for most things you will likely be fine with something as small as this. You can always blunt the knife edge and say it's a pry bar if you want to stay safe, if it's not sharp it's not a knife.
I know I will be flamed for saying this but I think this could be defined in law as an offensive weapon. The reason being that it has a blade but is not a pocket knife with a folding non-locking blade under three inches in length. That might seem silly but AIUI that's the law. So carrying it in a wallet could lead to trouble if you got stopped by an officious police officer.

Im sure I've read a previous thread on here some time ago where someone did get in trouble with the police regarding 1 of these wallet ninja type gizmos. Idk how far it went but it didnt just end with a slap on the wrist.

Not an unreasonable assumption, I don't think the blade is really necessary either, bit worried now that customs might also see it as a weapon

I am not a lawyer, police officer, or remotely an expert on the subject, but I have looked into knife laws for things like camping. As I understand it, there are essentially three categories of knife:
1) Blades you can carry routinely as a tool without a specific reason. Basically limited to small (3" or less) folding knives that do not lock open. This would include most penknives.
2) Blades you can carry if you have a good reason (you just bought it and are taking it home, you're camping, fishing, etc.) This includes most of them.
3) Blades that are completely or almost completely banned. This is a small list of specific types of knife like flick knives and butterfly knives.
This tool would seem to be of the second category and therefore cannot be carried without a good reason. The problem is, it's clearly designed to be carried routinely. Therefore it doesn't seem a good idea. If you have a specific reason to have a knife with you, there will be better options.
It actually gets even more complicated, because the police or courts can consider tools to be offensive weapons depending on the circumstances (which seem to have more to do with the "offensive weapon" designation than the properties of the weapon itself). If you take a tiny penknife to a football match, for example, you may get into trouble even if such knives are generally permitted elsewhere. Lots of things can be used as weapons and the courts recognise that. Concealment is another iffy area if the police or courts consider your "weapon" to be "disguised" - I'd be somewhat wary about keeping it in a wallet or phone case - but at the same time you obviously can't flaunt it either.

Wouldn't say this was a cold deal however, not much in stock on ebay and only a few pence more from a decent retailer.

Paid 99p from amazon a couple of years ago. I've had it out 100's of times since then. Everything from cutting the tag from my sons underpants to picking shredded pork out of my teeth. I put in the pocket of my mobile phone cover, so it's always with me and handy.

The post is dated 19/11/14 and the username is zan87. Said he was charged with possession of an offensive weapon because the police deemed it to be 'adapted to be a blade'.

I placed my first Gearbest order the other week, and it arrived a few days ago.
What I thought was weird was that they sent a picture of the package to me on the day it was shipped. It was shown on someone's desk, with computer keyboard etc in shot.
Gearbest looks like a one-man band eBay style seller rather than a big operation to me, but I can't complain as it did turn up and I'll use them again.
