Hi Kerrynl the offer is on until Sunday. A lot of stock has sold out though and not everything is in the promotion. Enter SELFCCE at the checkout with selfridges to get the offer.

That's my wife's Xmas made. First time I've ever seen any money off the Bayswater. Thanks OP (I think) ;-)

£600 -£700 for a handbag AFTER the 20% reduction .... or £1200 even, no wonder OP didn't want to mention a price in title

Some can, just like any other luxury item, cars, jewellery, high price electronics.
Gotta say for a first post this was epic...managed to ring a store with stock and bought the classic of mulberry bags for £716 instead of £895, delivered to me. This has been on my wife's wish list for years so with the 20% off I had to take the plunge (even though I think it's overpriced!) worth it for the reaction I'll get when she opens it at Christmas! BIG Thanks dawn0408 for the heads up, I was sure I'd missed the opportunity when I saw this deal 3 hours ago and none of the local stores (75mile radius) had stock.

Oh absolutely old chap, but hardly a luxury, I'd say! More of a whimsical want, or a consumable even ! :man:
Good for you How spiffing ! :man:-. Although a word of warning old chap - one might avoid telling her you actually bought it as "reduced" stock - that would certainly spoil the moment and might make it seem somewhat cheap.

Glad you got to take advantage of it. I'm sure she will love it.

Thanks for the words of advice though I don't class a discount as reduced stock and frankly I don't think she'll be too bothered about how much I paid for it, she knows it's worth. Besides, it's a present, do you tell your loved ones how much you spent on them?!
Again thanks to the OP for this!

I get annoyed with my husband if he DOESNT buy me presents that are reduced/on offer/good value. We need our money more than any shop.
Although I have to say, I just don't understand why anyone would pay £1000 for a handbag, other than for bragging rights.
Ah well, variety is the spice of life and all that...

Yes indeed , or instead you could buy 20,000 bags for life - enough to keep a small town in bags to carry "things" around with them.

I brought my wife a Bayswater a few years back - she never uses it. It's at the bottom of the wardrobe inside the lovely cloth bag :disappointed:

Also usable as a guest on a satirical topical news quiz. Now that's a bargain.
