I've been told that crabs prefer damp warm places...

aye but most places where lobsters are caught are managed, ie only certain numbers caught, certain areas unable to be fished, no fishing during when spawning occures and a hatchery used to raise young to an age where they have more of a chance of survival before being released in to the sea.

It seems like a nice idea but you don't actually get a lot of flesh from these. Like someone said earlier, you would probably be better off buying some nice large prawns.

Thanks, I will give them a miss.

That's too cheap man. I always get a bit worried about how they are farmed and what kind of life they have when it's this price even with MSC certification.

They're not farmed, just caught in the North Western Atlantic.

If its MSC certified its not farmed. Not that there are any commercial lobster farms of any significance...yet.

There are several other items on the website, if you look. One of them is the Deluxe Three Fish Roast, while sounding a bit odd, is absolutely delicious. I've recommended it to several people who all enjoyed it too. The only thing I would say is that you need to cook it for longer than they say. The flavour of the sauce on it is just gorgeous and the texture of the topping is lovely. Its about £5.99 and is great for a nice treat dinner. Feeds four easily.

I've tried frozen lobster and it's not nice. You're better of spending your money on frozen prawns that these.

I agree with the fact that there isn't much on them - taste is lovely though!

Aren't lobsters aphrodisiac when eaten?

Has anyone bought these before? What are they like and how do you serve them?

I bought one last year - to be honest I wouldn't buy one again - they are very small and barely serve one as a main course. You have to work hard to get all the flesh out, so you don't have much choice how to serve it - basically messy!
I like lidl, I think it's great, but this is basically just an advertising exercise to get people through its doors.
