No offence but maybe it was your son rather than the phone.

Cold, because several stores are selling the Moto G (2nd Gen) half price at the mo, only £69.50, which is a much better deal than the Moto E. Plus you're saved from owning a selfie stick.

Could only break it 3 times if you're daft enough to keep getting it repaired or replaced! Buy him a £10 'brick' phone and he might learn to take care of things. Or maybe he wanted you to blow £600 on an iPhone like his mates have?

make him pay to replace it himself, and maybe he'll learn to be more careful.

Got this phone from Tesco for £69 less £10 clubcard boost, with the free selfie stick and the £10 gift card offer but you have to top up £10 in order to get the gift card, so did not bother. Got an unlock code from ebay for £1.35 and a shockproof dual layer heavy duty case and a tempered glass screen protector from ebay for £3.99.

Which stores please?
Relative got mugged recently at knife point. Asked for his phone (moto g 1st gen)
Idiots.
Anyway was looking for replacement, Moto g 3rd gen, but Vodafone store near me has it for more than £110. He wouldn't mind 2nd gen for price you mentioned.

Thanks a lot. The reviews I have read on the ZTE are, on the whole, decent enough, especially for my use. For my requirements and with me being the operator, it will probably suffice.

Not being very good with mobiles tech wise, would this be better than the ZTE Blade A430 currently available at Argos for just £10 less (or rather £15 if you include the £5 voucher for spending over £50) Any help greatly appreciated. It would be to only make calls and take the occasional photograph but I have to say the camera looks a lot better in the ZTE. Thank you

Avoid buying either of the two Moto E models since neither is receiving an upgrade to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) - unless, of course, this is not an important consideration for you.

Doubt you're going to be able to DIY repair a water damaged phone. Maybe leave it in your pocket next time?

Cheap but pretty poor spec when you see what you can get for less from China. Granted only for the 'brave' (savvy?) due to the warranty issue but here's what £53 can get you
CPW have it for only £39.99 on Sim Upgrade at the moment. Saw it in a store the other day, but I did not enquire which networks, etc (and it is the same model).
I see online its showing as £59.99, so possibly an error in the store I was in (but label did say Moto E 4g etc).... Might be worth a look.
Great little phone for the money.

I don't know what people are on about. I've got 3 of these phones for me and the kids. its built like a brick but obviously much lighter ;-). my previous phone was an s3 which was built like an ice cream wafer in comparison (piece of crap that was) This certainly doesnt compare spec wise but at least I don't have to carry a pocket of spare batteries around with me anymore. camera is crap, that's my only real gripe.

Brought this phone from Tesco in-store last Saturday and unlocked it from Tesco Mobile on the Sunday for £2 on eBay, 5 days later and it was completely unusable :disappointed: Yes it was my fault for dropping it from a short height, and into the toilet, but a cracked, and unresponsive (touch doesn't work at all) phone from just this seems a little shocking. Not to mention the handset is completely sealed, battery cannot by removed or replaced, so DIY repair can't be done. Phone was good while it lasted, camera is poor however and as already stated, screen is weak.
Good for the price, selfie stick not in-store.

Nice phone but way too delicate, good deal for the extra careful though.

My wife has this phone, two of my sister in laws have this phone and my brother in law has this phone. None of them have ever had any issues. Certainly not with the screen breaking I would say this is more clumsy than the actual phone. They all love it. In fact I'm going to get this deal for my daughter.

Don't think you need to cancel as it directs you to Tesco Direct anyway
cheers Chanchi32, didn't know, going to cancel my order via Tesco direct and go thru Tesco mobile, £10 free credit is worth it, don't need it but I usually give it to charities via text contributions

Great as a budget phone, but as already pointed out the screen is not great image wise and strength. Also worth noting this phone will not be getting the next Android update to Marshmallow.
