I bought this for about £100 (I'm sure it was this one) from a deal posted on here about 4 months ago. Mine is the twin SIM version too from the Microsoft Store.

I used to search to see if I could find this alas, it does not seem such a deal was posted. Was this for 640 Dual sim?
Please post the link if you have one for the 640XL.

Trying to justify a 950 XL, but the price of this is making it difficult.
The 650XL won't be out until march at the earliest and doubt it will have continuum support

Oh, and is it true that the release version of windows 10 won't support android's apk files to be installed? Was kinda hoping it would be a way of getting threeintouch to work - its about the only app thats preventing me from leaving android

I like WIndows Phone, but it doesn't do stuff like Tasker/Autocast and Pushbullet, and that's just a couple of apps off the top of my head. IOS and WP8/10 are great for general use once you start to get more advanced with apps then Android is the winner. I really don't like Android much and would like to change but can't at present.

Anyone got this to work on Flubit to try for an even better price? Mine just keeps erroring, claiming the URL is invalid, despite offering me both tariffs and the phone only option.

Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual SIM - 4G - not XL Available from Carphone Warehouse - £139.99
I know they are different phones but they have got mixed up earlier in this thread. My post is just for someone who might want to buy in-store or online from a well known retailer. It can be difficult to find a dual sim phone from a known outlet in the UK.
If CPW had the dual sim 4G 640XL for £150 it would be a hot deal.

Do not buy these phones "ERROR: Unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shut down" this has just happened to mine I've researched the problem and its widespread and there is nothing that can be done to repair it, if you do have one or buy one back everything up I've lost everything pics numbers the lot :disappointed:

Surely the photos are on your OneDrive? It's free to backup there and literally one swipe and it's turned on?

This problem can sadly effect any phone and is not specific to this model.

Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough to do that now I have paid the price and learned a lesson the hard way.

Awesome phone, just made the move from android as I have now tired of the speeds they update their OS and the phones quickly become unusable due to either phone not being upgradable or all internal space being used up and unfreeable. I'm not in the market for hugely expensive phones, which is maybe why, but I have yet to get over a year and a half out of a recent android phone without everything overtaking it.
This was a no brainer and it is so much better than android. Glad I made the move. Camera is also awesome. Thanks for all tips as above, will now turn one drive on. I went for xl and Hubby standard 640, xl is not too big as will be carried in a bag rather than pocket and camera was most importantly thing for me. Hubby hated new android release and was struggling to use phone book and calling effectively. We both had moto phones and are both really happy with the lumias.
