I'd say it would be suitable for her. It's a bit scary in parts and there's a bit of violence, but I think it's definitely aimed at early teens so I'm sure she'd enjoy it. I'm 28 and it's definitely too young for me, but I still enjoyed it!

Sounds like a good box set and price, and the 4 book one. Thanks for the heads up and responses

Paid £8.79 for the 4 book set off Amazon a month ago, still a good price for the 3 though.
I've read the first three and they are now doing the rounds between my three children, the youngest is 8, eldest is 15 and they are all enjoying them.
BTW Just looked and this is the 3 book set - there's actually a 4th book (It's after the 3rd but is a prequel) - The Kill Order
I bought the 4 box set in summer for £10, it's a pretty standard price

my 12 yo DD has just finished these and loved them (then watched the films and preferred them to hunger games and Divergent too)
Can anyone suggest what to read next (after the above sets) - she's just turned 13

She'd probably like The Delirium series by Lauren Oliver, and the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld  I'd say that they're the next best Dystopian novels for younger people after the ones you mentioned.

No swearing, usual tween romance issues but nothing explicit or anything like that. quite a bit of violence but again not too deep.

11-12, it is very popular with Teens, I just got these for my 12 year old. she asked for them specifically because she loves them.

I think it's worth waiting for nearer to Xmas to buy this. I got it last year for the same price nearer to December when the Book People start doing their free delivery promos.

Hi, what sort of age group is this aimed at. My daughter has just turned 12, but wondering if this might be more aimed at teenagers?
