Reception hasn't been too good on this one, but still the cheapest price so far..

Along with the fun and dynamic gameplay known to the franchise, surprise your opponents with a new move to the series, the Jumpshot, which sends the ball flying down the court. Change the sport up with new Mega Battles, using the Mega Mushroom to gain an advantage over the competition. Claim your spot in Mario Tennis lore in singles (1v1) or doubles (2v2) as you play with and against family, friends or the CPU using returning and new characters to the series.

Sadly so poor I traded it back in hours later, it should be free with Mario with paid DLC/Characters, but of course Nintendo miles behind everyone else.

Not a bad price but can't see myself paying more than £15.

Can see this hitting £20 somewhere this week

Hopefully Nintendo pulls a Splatoon on this game.

P.S. If it wasn't for the lack of content this would be a good game because the gameplay is legitimately great (when played without the annoying mega mushroom then it's just tennis).
Ah.. this reminds me of a game. :smirk:

Splatoon was a bare bones game at launch and with time Nintendo released more and more content throughout the months.

What he means is Nintendo released a game in Alpha stage (Splatoon) and after people paid for it they patched it up a bit. He is confident they will do the same with this game which has had bad reviews and he is happy about that.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess he works for Nintendo.
I wouldn't buy this game unless your kids are screaming for it.

Everyone can see here @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKWNQhTfqCA that the gameplay itself is great but as said by many what's missing from it is content. Still, those who're going for online matches in Classic Mode it'll be very fun and challenging.
Nah, I don't.

What's missing is content? As in an alpha or beta build? You're right, who in hell buys a game expecting the content to be there already? Don't they know you pay Nintendo in advance and they deliver and as when they can be bothered?

Not played many new games then. Almost all of them follow this model, not just Nintendo.

This will drop and Nintendo games never do...

Game actually looks quite decent bar the lack of content. Will bite at £15.

This game is surely not universal enough for it to be patched and have loads of extra content added over time. It is what it is, just a basic tennis game with a few Mario characters and mario themed things. It could have and should have been a great game.

Exactly, also poorly timed release, so much to compete with over Xmas, I think 2016 would have suited better.

Watched a quick look of this and it seemed pretty disappointing.

Precisely.
Nintendo games would disagree with you.
That's the price I've always thought this should've cost.
Yeah, and to add insult to the injury the game's already marked as one of the worst Wii U has to offer as well as the second worst Mario Tennis.
Classic Tennis looks enjoyable though.

Mario Tennis on 3DS was the same story. Mario Golf on 3DS is really good however, I expect we will see that as some point on Wii U with a bit more effort put in by Nintendo.

True, but Splatoon was a brand new IP and genuinely innovative. Mario Tennis/Golf/Party is shovelware to some extent, they can be awesome (3DS Mario Golf) but this sucks.

I wouldn't say shovelware, we know what to expect from them.
