The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan has brought a new edge to the Cold War, and in 1984, a one-eyed man with a prosthetic arm appears in the country. Those who know him call him Snake; the legendary mercenary who was once swept from the stage of history and left in a coma by American private intelligence network Cipher. Snake is accompanied by Ocelot, an old friend who saved him from attack when he finally awoke.
Now, Snake's former partner Kazuhira Miller is being held by the Soviet forces in Afghanistan. Snake must undertake a solo mission to rescue Miller and prove to the world that the legendary mercenary is not dead and gone. That first step will lead to a path of vengeance against the very Cipher that slaughtered so many of Snake's men, and to a battle that will embroil the whole world...

Wow thanks that does make sense. I've seen the light now. I'm going to sell my PC and buy a PS4. Who needs 4k 60fps, free mods, free online, not being locked into a specific platform, being able to use any peripheral they want, backwards compatibility, emulators, not paying £40 for remasters...

People know PC is better not everyone can afford one. I game on PS4, Xbox One and PC but play on PS4 mostly out of convenience I have a room upstairs that just has a huge HDTV and a PS4 and I'm undisturbed. Telling people how low the price is on a platform they don't have expecting them to buy the other system to take advantage of lower price for a game well I don't think you deserve a medal but some kind of award for outstanding stupidity wouldn't go amiss. I mean... you even voted it cold though it's an amazing price for people who DO have these systems. Pathetic.

Phantom Pain is NOTHING like ground zero, the world and what you can do/develop in PP is huge. GZ was never designed to be a full game, just a small one level tasters with some back story.

Don't think that's why it's going down in price, it's going down because it's popular and there is still price competition. It's averaged out at the 3rd best scoring game ever on the PS4, but I guess not everyone will like it!

This website is called Hot UK Deals. I'm pointing out that this game can be had for a much lower price on a different platform. I only switched from consoles to PC because of a post like this, so hopefully others will realise how much better PC is too. I should get a medal.

Im a metal gear fan and thought the game was amazing, i was engrossed in it from start till finnish,
best game play on a metal gear, the story was not mindblowing but i will be honest and say that I take
the story on every metal gear game with a pinch of salt, Metal gear online 3 was a huge letdown tho.

Phantom Pain is a LOT bigger than Ground Zeroes. They're not comparable in that regard.
But Phantom Pain is just a dull game overall. It's been rated really well and I can't for the life of me figure out why.

That's annoying. I got Ground Zeroes off the PSN store (£4) and glad I didn't fork out any more for it. I was really hoping that it was just a demo and that Phantom Pain would be back to normal. The same bloody map over and over again. Disappointed. I'll wait for this to drop to £5 in that case.

I played through Super Meat Boy on Playstation Plus last week. Such a simple game but a brilliant reminder that not everything has to be overly complicated to be a lot of fun.

I couldn't agree more. For some reason this gaming generation seem to think that going open-world- where you spend most of your time travelling from A to B and playing the same missions over and over again to get to 40+ hours of gameplay is fun? Personally id much rather play a solid 8-10 hours of linear story driven gameplay. I played about 6 hours of this game so far and to me it really doesn't feel like any other previous MGS games, more like a massive portable ops game. I mean Snake barely speaks to anyone in this, its like hes a mute that just does what everyone says.
Maybe all of this is now reflecting in the price of the game, its going down incredibility quickly for a AAA game.

I love the Metal Gear series and MGS5 is a huge let down. It's really, really boring. You just do the same sort of mission over and over again for 40 hours. And the only thing that happens in the open world is you might occasionally see a goat (not being facetious).
