The Lamb Shanks with Red wine & Rosemary are delicious (we prefer them to the Mint Gravy) - you can't buy the raw lamb shanks for that price! The Carrot cake is good too.

whilst I applaud the deal I have to say I have never managed to get my hands on one of these cheap meat deals as the shelves of my local Lidl have always been cleared by the time I get there.Just what time you have to arrive in the store to get the deals is beyond me but I will add heat as undoubtedly some of us are getting a bargain

Depends on the deal, in Stafford some are gone by midday Saturday but other deals are still there Sunday afternoon. Steak mince for example flies off the shelves, whereas those half piri piri chickens are often there all weekend.

you have to join the Saturday 8am Lidl club especially when meat is on offer..there's a que at 7:55am before the shutters go up & always the same folk...hungover or not if your not there you'll be lucky to go later & find any meat offers left

you want to start them off in the microwave or boil like you do, but then finish in the oven to get a bit of colour, render down the fat and reduce the sauce a bit, makes them much nicer.
