Thanks, managed to pop into a Currys today, and it's a nice looking unit. Problem is I'm away from home at the moment, so I don't know what width my current old Zanussi fridge is.

Just stumbled upon this, it's currently £325, not quite as good price, but seems like a good fridge Everyone happy with their purchases?

happy with it overall. well worth the price. but the top freezer drawer is a bit small and does open very wide. I knew this before purchasing.

Got ours delivered, Noticed that it's not an enclosed unit, the top doesn't have any cover on it. There was also a rather annoying POS sticker that left all this crap on the fridge when I took it off.

An extra £59 for 5 year cover is reasonable.

remember decibels are not linear. 41db is significantly quieter than 44db. the "deci" in the name means every single number increase is an increase by factor of 10 (times 10)

I think you are right, even tho it is nearing its life span. I am not gonna rush to replace it until it has had it and goes down completely. Hopefully I will be able to find good deal whenever that might be :P thanks the advise.

41 decibels is a dealbreaker for me. Previously had a pile of junk from Hotpoint making a 44 Db racket. This Bosch looks great but the price is a bit on the high side!

How quiet is it in normal use, have got a open plan kitchen/living room ..........I had a all singing and dancing one a few years back and it sounded like a Harrier jump jet coming in to land !!!

If your looking for a quiet one, this is the quietest ive found, quite alot of money but if the size is right i think it would be perfect, if anyone can find a similar sized one that is quieter than 34 decibels please let me know.
We paid £349 minus a £20 off code & £6 TCB, so £323 in October of this year. Did the Which comparison and this scored well and so far, so good.

I'm tempted in replacing my 18 year old Beko fridge-freezer but it is still in working condition. I wish I knew how many more years it has got left before it totally breaks down, to help me make up my mind :disappointed:

Working condition or not, it's almost certain that this brand new LG fridge is going to be an order of magnitude more economical than any 18 year old fridge.

I've just replaced the seal on my fridge, cheap and easy to do. (Sadly it's only made the fridge freeze stuff faster rather than preventing it, so I may end up buying this..)

20 Nov 15#15
Don't bother then, my mum's fridge needs defrosting once a year despite being frost free, the seals are cracked around the edges but she's not in a rush to get a new one as it does the job. Who knows, by the time it actually breaks she/you will get an even cheap freezer.

Not really. The only thing I have noticed, in the last 2 years it is starting to make sudden loud noice and then it goes back to normal noise level. Perhaps it is a signing of aging?

only on sale at the higher price for a couple of weeks. Doesnt sound like much of a deal.

nope they had it on for £300 a few months ago, then £350 for quite a while too.

in the small print it says it was on sale at the higher price for only a month. So have the just artificially increased the price briefly to then claim a big discount?
