My box didn't have a seal on it, and no evidence of one being removed either. Phone came with all plastic coverings, headphones (quite nice style, braided cords), spare back and fast charger. I've only been using vanilla Android on my past 2 phones but I have to say I like what LG have done, they have added some nice features without too much bloat.
It's worth finding the "tips and tricks" videos on YouTube, helps you uncover some of the features and some hidden ones.

Just received mine on Friday. My box wasn't sealed either, but the phone had all the protective film covers on it, and a UK plug and the earphones were included. After my first weekend with it, I could not be happier with the phone I have to say!

I went to the LG UK web pages for support, I was trying to find out their warranty as Carphone Warehouse said it was only 1 year from them. When I was there, the support popped up for a webchat, so I asked them and they arranged everything. Don't think I have a URL for you, but should be easy to find with a search.

I had great service from LG for my Nexus 5 which was out of warranty when the power button started to stick. They shipped me a box to send it back, sent Tuesday, returned Friday fixed. Can't fault them on this occasion.
Managed to find a G4 in the local Three shop, the only one with a live phone rather than plastic dummy. I really like it, cracking screen, and the LG skin is not too bad. I liked the split screen option to have 2 apps open at once.

Hey, I'm in a similar situation to you with a Nexus 5. I wasn't sure where exactly I was supposed to look online about repairs out of warranty. Could you explain the process you went through, and post a link if you requested a repair online?
A reputable online shop should have a verifiable company name & company number on their webpage. If they do not have it they are trying to hide.

Hello chaps, am new to the whole smartphone business but looking to buy a smartphone for my hubby in time for christmas. I found this site which is selling the LG G4 for considerably less than eBuyer - just £276.99. Is this a reliable seller, are the phones new, should we be wary? Would be grateful for any advice. Do not order, The Phone has many manufacturing faults, One of which is you receive a static shock from behind the phone. I contacted the customer service and this is deamed as out of warrenty. Definately not recommended. I tried posting this review on the LG website, they were allowing me to do so, I have been trying over months and they simply reject the request and hence you find all good reviews on their site. I repeat NOT RECOMMNDED! Just waster your 300 pounds for nothing.

pjjames55 to Simpleminded
4 Nov 15#73
You can root the phone which is easy too do and can be done without unlocking the bootloader so you won't void your warranty.
That's what I suspect as well. Ebuyer has been selling this phone for £300 for at least a week now, it was non leather one before though. So I believe they want to get rid of all the stock before the new one comes out.

4 Nov 15#48
I've had a fake window case on my G2 and that was working same as the original but costing lot less. The decision is up to you now. I know what I would choose.
marktime to evilhomeruk
4 Nov 15#54
Had the official case, which I returned due to a blemish on the front, bought the Choetech instead and have stuck with that.
The differences are fairly minimal - exactly the same materials and textures, no branding on the Choetech, the metallic insert is also missing (it's just a plastic ring) so doesn't provide quite as impressive a halo effect.
Main gripe is the flapping front cover - a problem that the G3 equivalent QC case didn't have - but pretty much all the G4 variants of this case have the same problem, including the official one, I suspect it's due to the slightly more curved screen than its predecessor, so I think you'll find it a common issue.
The wireless/NFC connectivity is faultless on the Choetech - the G3 case used to drive me to despair trying to get it positioned exactly right (even then the charging would often as not drop out after a few mins) - you can just leave the Choetech in roughly the right zone and it gets on with the charging reliably every time.
Personally I wouldn't be paying double for the official case, so unless you can find a non-fake official for a good price I don't think it's worth the premium.
tonyfonda
4 Nov 15#53
thanks for that. 23% time efficiency improvement is not worth it really in my view...
NB - the power/volume controls are on the back - which I've got used to fine.
You can double-tap the screen to wake it if its sat on a desk or something.
I've recently discovered that double-tapping the notification bar at the top turns the screen off again
You can double press the volume down button to quickly open the photo app. (can be configured to take a picture immediately after doing this) volume down button also takes picture once you're ready. In my experience it seems to be fast taking a photo with the flash off, but pretty slow with the flash on
will just wait till it drops to £99 ,but by that time there will be much better phones which cost £99..
That being said- Cold just because its made by LG and is unreliable.
