I have one and am using it now and I find it really laggy and quite buggy as well. opening things like Kindle takes an eternity and overall the OS isn't that slick. My wife has a Galaxy S6 Edge and that is like a Ferrari to my Reliant Robin. I would save up for the G4 or look elsewhere personally. or buy mine and rescue me from its distinct averageness!!!
Nexusfifth to j2hot

I had the same issue with G2 when I filled it up with apps and stuff, I had to wait for it to load into homescreen etc. What fixed this for me was to ditch the LG launcher, go to Play store and install google now launcher and see if it helps. Also if it was snappy when new you might want to try a factory reset and the restore a backup.
S6 feels absolutely awesome, mostly because they have that fast emmc memory, it is comparable to ssd over hard drive upgrade (well not quite that much of a difference, maybe sata ssd vs good pcie ssd...), this and that exynos processor is quite decent. This was the first Samsung I actually considered in a very long time because of this, but simply couldn't justify the price tag... (and still can't).
Hope this helps you some.

Not to disagree with you on the points you made but you're comparing a 32-bit quad core phone with a 64-bit octa core phone that costs £300 less or so.
The LG G3 has a lovely screen, decent battery life, nice design but I do agree that the software is disgusting, they've fixed most of the lag on the phone with the latest updates though and for £190 is a complete steal! Saying that, as stated above, when you compare the G3 to a phone like the S6 Edge, the speed difference between the two are like a Chinese android tablet vs an iPad or an HDD vs SSD, you quickly realise how slow the 32-bit phones actually are!

Mine just failed. Screen flickers and goes nlack. Google it seems common issue after first year :disappointed:. Going to rma it.
Originally had the LG G2 & was very happy with it until I smashed it on holiday - Then I promptly bought the G3; honestly I almost preferred the LG G2; recently upgraded to G4 because the camera is amazing. I don't regret it. My advice? Go for the G4 if you can, the fantastic camera trounces even my wife's iphone 6 and it generally feels nicer to use and doesn't madly overheat for no apparent reason which the G3 did quite regularly.
Having said that, the G3 is a very good phone and if you can't stretch to the G4, you will be very happy with it.

The screen to size ratio is one of the best on the market.
Some reasons to buy it this amazing price:
1. It's perfect for those of us who have smaller hands but want a large screen.
2. HDMI out without the need to plug in a power source (unlike MHL)
3. Excellent ROM support ( XDA)
4. LG infra red remote built in (great if you have an lg tv).
5. Removable battery
6. USB OTG and Micro SD support
7. GPS works great
8. Chromecast screen mirroring works great.

Unfortunately an angry (ex) girlfriend smashed my 11 month old G3 2 weeks ago so I decided to go for the G4 as there was less than £100 difference in price and there would be obvious improvements.
I'm very impressed that LG seem to have addressed the main complaints about the G3 ie battery life and screen brightness and resolution and also lag. The screen and the lag were never much of an issue for me but a spare battery was a must if I was out for the day.
The battery on the G4 is superb, the screen is much better, and there is no lag as far as I can see. There might be a split second but I'm sure all phones have a few milliseconds of lag.
I prefer the shape of the G3 but for the price, the G4 improves on it in every department. Yes they're both big phones but surely screen size is important these days as we use the apps on our phones more than we do to make calls, so the bigger the screen, the less strain on the eyes surely. It's easy to hold when making a call anyway. Both great phones but I'd definitely go for a G4 if you can afford it because even though they look similar, the performance of the G4 pretty much slaughters the G3.

I bought the phone for 275 a few months back and all i can say is- the phone is unexeptional and unexciting. Theres no real problems with it except for the screen.
The screen is sooo washed out and dim even compared to a nexus 5 and its extrememly OVERSHARPENED which makes text, video and images look really weird.
I wish i waited a couple of months and got the lg g4/moto x play/moto x style.
The camera is good but the pictures are only good viewed on another device eg my ipad air. On the phone itself the pictures look bad due to the oversharpening and washed out colours. On a side note I compared my g3 to one at a vodafone store and strangely the vodafone ones screen looked brighter with better contrast and colour. I checked up online about this and apparently some g3s have a difderent screen manufacturer so the screen looks worse (similar to the chipgate issue on the iphone 6s). When i found this out I tried asking amazon for a refund or a moto x play in exchange buuut the guy I was chatting to just shipped a free replacement g3 without my permission. (which is kind of understandable since in the chat it seemed he hardly knew any english).
And then he told me to ship my old lg g3 back to amazon, which i did. So then i recieved my new g3 on monday and guess what: it looked the exact same as the old one :disappointed:
Now i really want a refund but theres two problems:
A. I probably wont get a full refund as i bought the original g3 for 275 and now its 199 so im gonna lose around £76
2. I really dont know if a free replacement (says the new g3 cost £0 on my orders) is eligible for a refund.
So basically I think I'm stuck with this phone :disappointed:

1. It's perfect for those of us who have smaller hands but want a large screen.
2. HDMI out without the need to plug in a power source (unlike MHL)
3. Excellent ROM support ( XDA)
4. LG infra red remote built in (great if you have an lg tv).
5. Removable battery
6. USB OTG and Micro SD support
7. GPS works great
8. Chromecast screen mirroring works great.
Or you can use Knock Code of your choice.
!!! There is a lot of lag from time to time which can be completely fixed by changing the governor to conservative from interactive (there is a bug with the interactive governor slows down too much the cpu) - you need root for this
I'm very impressed that LG seem to have addressed the main complaints about the G3 ie battery life and screen brightness and resolution and also lag.
So basically I think I'm stuck with this phone :disappointed:
ive had the replacement
one for around 3 weeks now is it ok if i ask amazon for a 275 refund?
