G3 has got to be the most bang for buck on the market ATM.

Was £10 cheaper the other day so not such a good deal.

I got a G2 back during last years Voda offer - been super pleased with it. Just got a G3 when it was £190 from Amazon for the OH, and have helped her set it up etc. Got to say - the G3 doesn't feel like a big upgrade from the G2 (so anyone with a G2 - i'd say stick with it for now) - but equally I don't get the G3 hate - not sure what else you could get with similar build/performance for under £200. Maybe the Smart Ultra 6 is worth a look, but not sure it's fair to compare the G3 to current flagships that are quite a bit more cash.

Agree with the above, I'm typing my reply to this on my g3. It's too slow and doesn't feel responsive. Avoid.

I would advise you go for the G4. It is awesome and probably the best phone released before September this year. The LG V10 also looks awesome and is probably gonna be the best phone this year IMO. To all the haters of the G3, the phone is great and doesn't lag as much as the s5 (I've had both). It barely lagged when I had it and I did play games like fifa, NFS and GTA. If concerned about lag then get the 3Gb ram version

good price got the g2, from the Vodafone deal last year, but think am going to go for the one plus x, suits me more due to the screen size, and it looks the dogs

No lag or problems unless you believe everything you read on the internet have some heat.

got this phone even it came out. very unimpressed. screen might be good resolution, but colours are muted. build quality isn't great (well, in my experience) as the screen came away from the body and the bezel cracked around the microphone port. 2 trips to LG to be fixed. overheated a lot too, especially in the summer. various minor, unfixed, software issues.
good deal for those that are after this handset.

Go for a G4 for £100 more. Or leave the G3 on the shelf....its too slow and laggy it will do your head in trust me!

Calm down, I think jco83 was just pointing out that according to the camelcamelcamel chart, they were free September last year. I don't think it was a dig at you.

What the **** are you talking about, just a few days ago they were £10 cheaper whats giving them away last September got to do with my comment.

After over 2 years of use, I still rate my G2 and have no plans to upgrade. is the G3 worse?

That made me laugh out loud.

Build quality issues - cracks occurring around the top and bottom, and performance isn't very good on the 2GB model. It's not a great phone IMO. The G4 is a step up in terms of speed and overall performance. Worth another £100 if you ask me. Having said that, even the G4 still feels cheap and tacky. I've put a carbon fibre decal on mine to try and take away some of that plasticy feel.

Hopefully the G5 will come with nicer-feeling hardware - no more shiny plastic trims that scratch if you so much as sneeze on them. Be nice if they cut back some of the rather amateur-looking customisation too. LG is by far the worst custom skin now. I never though anything could be worse than Touchwiz!

This has a few nice features - decent camera, *ok* screen - I mean it's technically high res if that's all you care about - but I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone, based on my ownership of it.
