Another thing that doesn't really add up -
10697 - 1500 pieces (2.2kg)
10698 - 790 pieces (1.6kg)
Could that be explained by the extra pieces being much smaller?

The 10698 looks like it comes in a rigid plastic LEGO tub which would explain the additional weight - the 10697 just comes in a large cardboard box!

Why is box 10698 generally more expensive when it has half the pieces?
Is there any particular reason for that? Is it because it comes in a better box?

can anybody confirm the no of pieces that comes in this box. This particular Creative Box 10697 is just below the Creative Box 10698 version which John lewis is selling for 34.99. A famous Lego blogger is saying 10698 tops the bricks count with 790 pieces, so the one we are talking here will be lower in count, so it can't be 1500 pieces.

I recently bought the set 10697 and it definitely does contain 1500 pieces. Fabulous colours too :smiley:

don't trust the online stock. The last lego deal I posted said there was over 80 in stock. The quantity in stock stayed the same even after people place orders.
