This porcelain mug tells the story of the Man on the Moon, featuring a colourful cluster of balloons set against a starry night sky.
John Lewis and Age UK are partnering up this Christmas to help some of the million older people who will go for a month without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member. We will donate 25% of the selling price of this mug (plus VAT) to Age UK.
To show someone they are loved this Christmas, please text MOON to 70800 to donate £3.

There's a lot of concerned people in this thread. I think we need to go and drink beer in a mug.

This made me laugh. Though i'd point out i didn't critiscise. I found it concerning. But being a hypocrite is a pastime of mine.

I'd be more concerned with the kind of people who criticise people who criticise other peoples lives, hypocrites they be

If somebody chooses to buy a mug from john lewis based on their advert, then who are you to criticise them? I'd be more concerned with the kind of people who take joy in criticising other peoples lives, than someone who likes to follow a trend.

But where would one find a mug? Why at John Lewis of course! They'll be there in droves looking to whatever John Lewis has pushed in it's Xmas advert!

Or buy a mug for a quid and give £4 to charity, with gift aid...

Prefer this option.... particularly after seeing the picture of the mug.
Or use it for up to 90 days and then return it (once you've forgotten the advert) giving £5 to charity gift aided :P
