I've not tried this, but it looks like a great deal with excellent reviews. My 7 year old son loves his 'Snap Circuits', which is a similar thing, so if you're looking for an alternative, check it out.

My daughter had this last year (age 9) and loves it. It went much cheaper still on Amazon in December last year.

The Cambridge Brainbox range are similar, may be worth having a look at those also.

My son got this last year. The quality is better than Snap Circuit which is why we went for this one. He's 7 and has had lots of play value from it and still uses it most days. He loves it so much he's asked for something else along the same lines for Christmas so he can learn more. Gears and motors next

Purchased. Was looking for something like this for Xmas :-)

This is a brilliant price. My boyfriend (he's 35 but the biggest kid I know) wanted this for ages but I was reluctant to pay £50 for it. I found it in a charity shop still sealed for £5 so snapped it up.

I've just got this in the Argos 3 for 2. Got 2 Nerf guns at £45 also, so each item works out at £30.
