If this is an actual proper mechanical keyboard, the layout doesn't matter too much you can just pop the key caps off and rearrange them, and just make sure your keyboard language is set in Windows and it would be fine.
Anyone know if this is actually a mechanical one? Price would suggest otherwise?

No it's "mechanical feel" which is basically a way of saying its a membrane keyboard with (what I imagine is) Cherry compatible key caps. It's literally a membrane keyboard with a little plastic stalk above it.
I think it's a bloody con people are falling for this and thinking its a mechanical keyboard. Totally deceptive.
Despite that, I guess the cost for a backlit membrane keyboard would probably be more than this so its sort of a deal.

Got this today and it's pretty good to be honest, I have had mechanical keyboards in the past and it's no mechanical but it is very nice to type on and feels quite heavy and solid, it's actually quite quiet apart from the spacebar, Colours are pretty uniform and it has Ji zz written on it, bonus!
