How did you get that system for £283?

Cheapest I could get a system to come out on PC Part Picker using the cheapest options every time was £400.

Back in the day , building your own system would see you financially rewarded for your efforts. However this is no longer the case as prebuilt systems are often priced well below the cost of the individual parts.
The tricky bit now is choosing the right system that is closest to your needs or indeed if you are lucky enough to get one that suits your needs perfectly. There are many setups that will enable future upgrades or simple tweaks that could still offer better value even after these upgrades are added.
The machine I just bought would have cost me £440 to build myself so at just £283 I would have £157.00 in upgrades or tweaks to make this perfect, and of course any parts that are surplus to requirements in the original build are of course saleable

Each to their own, as someone who likes arguing, you should do well on this site

I apologise for not being clear, I didn't mean you, I meant the person buying the machine would have to have no ability to build a machine for pieces (assuming cash is king). Very wrong, You might want to google what's a gray market reseller is and if they are 'legal' licensed copies.. I'll save you time on the latter, they are.
It isnt a good price as a prebuilt (£20-40 to expensive), not being bothered doesn't make it a 'good' deal. You still wouldn't be with this machine :P So its NOT worth you time to know if this represents good value for money(as a prebuilt machine), as long as it works? seems like the wrong website then :S
-- I don't mean anything in too harsh a way, I just like arguing

CPU is too slow for any advanced work. GPU with this CPU won't handle any modern games and if you want a facebook browsing machine then 8GB RAM and GTX750 are just waste of money.
Just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's a good deal. Get over it.

I just bought a Sedatech UC03018F3I8HE Gamer Advanced Desktop PC off Amazon yesterday for £283.17 delivered....
Spec :-
Intel i3 4160 2x 3.6 GHz,
Radeon R7 250x 1024 MB,
8 GB DDR3 1600 RAM,
2000 GB HDD,
USB 3.0, Full HD 1080p,
80+ Bronze 400w PSU,
Windows 8.1 (with DVD,activation code and booklet)
Zalman Z3 Plus Case - Blue LED -with 4x 120mm Fans,
Asrock H81M-HDS motherboard
After working out the cost to build this myself I was looking at around £440 ...... no brainer for me !! ... gonna stick in a 250gb SSD and swap out the gpu for my r7 260x and the psu for my corsair 550w 80+ , should result in a pretty nice system, don't play games on it really other than the odd game of age of empires or stronghold crusader lol

I fully understand how to build my own and have done on many occasions but I don't believe it's at all simple to compare a prebuilt legitimately licenced PC to a home built unlicenced (or 'gray market' if you prefer) PC. Yes parts vs prebuilt might make sense for many people but not everyone wants to build their own for a variety of reasons. Even I can't be bothered nowadays, I'm no gamer and it's just not worth my while to spend the time researching and building my own when Dell or whoever make a machine that generally just works for me and comes with a licenced install of Windows.

It simple to prove you wrong, its not a 'good' deal unless you don't understand how to build a machine yourself, in which case 1GB of GDDR5 isn't appropriate in terms of longevity( assuming your playing games) AND this is only magnified by the fact that window 7/8 in all its variations can be bought on gray market sites for £9-16 and upgraded for free to 10 in the first year of 10's launch. Giving you the £50+ you'd need for the graphic card, or better yet making this a 'Good' deal.
*Oh my, its a 750 not a 750Ti*

In response to all of the above, it may be that they have ran out of stock.
I tried to buy this deal when it was on previously, and had the same problem. I can confirm that it did exist as I have ordered it myself today.

Why are people voting this hot? This spec PC does not show on the site at this price. The £329 PCs are a lower spec and not this one.

Voted hot but not for me as i like to build my own so i know every component. Nice bit of kit for the price. However i do wonder what psu they put in there?

For the money its a decent machine with windows installed a half decent low range GPU and a low range CPU i doubt you could build the machine for that money. My only concern with this is that its not really future proof, the GPU is oldish now and because it gets it power through the PCI slot i wonder how good the PSU in it is.
Hot from me as its a decent machine for a new gamer or someone who plays the odd game.

Never ceases to amaze me when people vote cold om some deals... if the people that do that can point me in the direction of something better at this price I'd really appreciate it.
people say Medion are a poor brand yet I've had 3 PC units from there, the first is a P4 3.4 from about 11 years ago which still runs fine and the kidd use it. have an A8 5500 that is 3 years old in the office and for personal use have a recent i5-4460 model. they have all been trouble free and great build quality.

Sadly you'll always get cold voters, they seem to enjoy voting cold regardless of the deal and I suspect rarely contribute any deals themselves. "ooh look I made it go blue"
Prove me wrong cold voters!

I've had great experience with Medion, I've had a desktop PC and laptop from them in the past and have been very impressed with them.
I'm tempted to buy this for my sons Christmas as he's after a gaming PC so he can play GTA 5 and bf4. Although he does keep changing his mind and wanting a PS4.

You would want a i5 system and if you want it to look decent you will need to look at what psu it has and possibly upgrade the graphics card.

If this is the top of your budget, then it's an excellent deal. Won't be able to run the games on high settings but will equal or exceed the quality from a current gen console.

Ordered this time around after missing out last time.
Hopefully some of this will be upgradable in the future, if not then it is still pretty well priced.
