This is a nice handset, but my oldest lad has near destroyed his in less than a year. The charging board needed replaced, also the sim carrier and now the camera has stopped working. Google will show that these are common faults with this model.
If you can, hang on for Black Friday. If not, I would suggest an LG G4 for about the same money.

yeah, my power socket is burned out and only one charger I have works on it! plus the screen had a lined crack from little pressure! still works brilliant tho
I have to say mine is brilliant. Gps is good enough for geocaching so the world is a better place.

Nice thing about this phone is that with very little effort you can convert it to the goggle play edition. I've done it with mine and now basically a Nexus and running stock marshmallow 6.0.

Had mine since they were released, no problems, really really happy with it still. Waiting on the Android M update by the end of the year. can't see a need to replace it when my 3 year contract is up in Feb

I would have thought it must be a "fair" bit of effort as none of the HTC device drivers will be in the nexus handsets Android build or in fact the Android source

This is a excellent phone, it won mobilehome of the year in 2014. I have had it over a year and never had any problems, very pleased with it. Highly recommended.
Still has that hopeless 4mp camera they ditched it in newer M9 models.

I bought this on contract last year it's a good phone but the software is rubbish, now I have an iPhone 6s. However for the price it's a pretty good deal.

I don't regret getting this early this year. Very immersive sound. Playing music & movies & kodi. Definitely an iconic phone. I have n95 8gb, iphone 4s, and this monster. Heat!

Got this phone on the Vodafone deal last year, best android i have ever owned. Still blazing fast, amazing speakers and build quality. Only bad thing is the camera which i rarely use to be honest

I'm sure the HTC One M8S is newer and is better value at giffgaff then Sainsbury's HTC One M8. https://www.giffgaff.com/htc/htc-one-m8s/phone-details
