This is eCrooks you know... did you expect any different....
They have been pulling stunts like this for the last 4 years, a few things I remember them doing :-
• They moved a lot of home customers to business customers, which means they only had to honour a 30 day warranty on all sales.
• They had a CS nightmare, where they showed a CS leader board where they were ranked by returns refused.
• They do not always honour 1 year warranties, they use the SOGA partial refund clause, then send the item back for a full refund themselves.
• Numerous bait and switch 'offers' to develop customer databases and other site traffic.

Cash back says - Claim cashback when purchasing a qualifying HP LaserJet model and an Original HP Toner at the same time.
Aren't you supposed to buy the toner as well??
Also, I don't see this product in the list of Cashback items @https://h41201.www4.hp.com/wmcf.web/Dispatcher.aspx?action=terms&country=UK&language=en&program=3028&simdate=2015-10-31&ocugid=0

This is a great deal, but this is a ink jet printer. I would prefer a laser printer, as they are normally cheaper to run and also with my very low usage patterns, I dont have to worry about the ink clogging up and so on.
They have a Laser printer, HP Color LaserJet Pro 200 M252dw, which is £170, but also has £100 cash back, which is capable of duplex printing and allow NFC and wireless printing form Phones, tablets, laptops, etc.. and also Wired and wireless capable. It does only have 150 paper tray. Good for home or SOHO usage. http://www.ebuyer.com/704465-hp-color-laserjet-pro-200-m252dw-a4-printer-b4a22a-b19

Surely if we take the option of waiting for it to come back in stock our invoices will still show it was purchased before the promotion end date? Just a matter of hoping it's back in stock within the 30 days that we need to register!

Broken the law. Right okay. Good luck.
Just to clarify, some retailers use supplier stock levels for some items. So generally when a product says 'x in stock but we need to order it in', then they will be ordering it in once you place an order. So that particular product code is probably from one of their suppliers. The one you wanted is now out of stock, so no, they won't have to honour it at the price in this deal.

tushar261
28 Oct 15#136
They are still offering "FREE HP Officejet Pro X451dw Wireless Inkjet Printer with this product" with this other printer :stuck_out_tongue:
Your going to sadly be disappointed. A shop/vendor can sell the same product at different prices and its not against the law. If this was true, a shop could not do a 'special offer' to the first 100 sales on an item, or a house builder offering a discount to the first few houses sold off plan.
You voice recordings are worthless in court, unless its a tamper proof recording (very expensive equipment that the likes of banks, insurance and loan companies use). And you may actually find you were breaking the law yourself unless you informed eCrooks you were recording the call 'for training purposes', kappa.
So your going to waste hours of your life over nothing in the end. You played the HUKD Roulette and lost. Move on lifes to short.

So ordered the cheap one and order said no stock. Ordered another at £300.71 and ordered processed and payment taken. Shops up as processing.
Rung Ebayer, very funny. Initially oh there is no stock, it's been a popular product (speaking about the cheap printer). "Are you sure there is no stock" I ask. "Most certainly no stock". Gave then new order number and they tried to say the cheap one was part of a package with the paper but there was no paper! I said oh you can leave that off don't worry just send me the printer and refund the price difference. Basically put me on hold and they then said no stock and money will be refunded but order still there.
Now cancelled but still lets you order the printer at £300.17 price lol. Should I just order it again at £300. I'm liking this game! I may actually see if I receive that one and then see if they try and do the no stock again!

And if it really has sold out, why have people who ordered this morning received cancellation emails saying it was a pricing error?

Well isn't that obvious. They said it's sold out because they (for whatever reason) have no more to sell at that price.

Yep, it appears they do have stock but won't allow valid orders to go through. Instead of coming clean with we are not willing to fulfill the orders at the price you paid they are saying the product is sold out. Bad bad bad.

OH really??
So you're person A, and you sign a contract say for person B (Sky TV). Once it's signed it's legally binding.
Same when you buy something, once money has been accepted it's a legally binding sale, they are entitled to give you what you paid for. It's up to YOU whether or not you accept a refund, or something else in exchange. You don't have to accept a refund once money has been taken.
For example, try ringing up Sky and cancelling your contract, just straight up leave it. They'll give you hell. That contract is as legally binding, as a sales of good contracts. So why is it not breaking the law?

4.1 After placing an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a Product. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you by sending you an e-mail that confirms that we have accepted your order (the Acceptance Confirmation) The contract between us (Contract) will only be formed when we send you the Acceptance Confirmation.
Does that end the debate? I'm not really in court, I'm just saying, they've taken the money then cancelled the order. That's breaking the contract.

Doesn't really matter what some company states in their T&Cs, but if it's that what you're relying on, then you should have carried on reading…..
8.5 We are under no obligation to provide the Product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you a Acceptance Confirmation, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mis-pricing.
thepetitredfox
28 Oct 15#181
But it's not a pricing error, they've clearly advertised the deal, They had every intention to sell at that price. And some laws/rules over ride others.
That's do do with if they accidentally sell 100 ps4's for a penny. Obviously they will have to cancel them. But this is no pricing mistake. This was to get page hits on their website, and disappoint everyone.

Check their Twitter Account, they are still advertising the Deal at 1p after cashback. There is no dispute over whether it is a Pricing error, it's clearly not. This is a blatant Bait and Switch, saying that the item is out of stock at the lower price, and yet still selling it at the higher price.
Fallen foul to this from eBuyer before on a Monitor "misprice", I think eBuyer need to be removed from HUKD for unscrupulous business.

Has most of you received following message?
"We're afraid we have insufficient stock
You now need to decide what you want to do with these products. Please sign in to My Account on our website where you will find options available to you."
This doesn't seem cancellation note and they may try to back order the stock. But, it may take long and if they are not able to find stock before 31st then Invoice date may not have 31st Oct on it and HP may not allow cashback. Does this mean we may need to cancel the order manually so that they don't send printer next month?

My delivery date is 4th November.
Just spoke to Ebuyer (0371 521 3300), they are saying that invoice will have the delivery date (04/11/2015) and they can't change it to 28th October.
I rang HP promotion team (020 3027 7423), they are saying to get £100 cashback, I should need to prove that I bought the item before 01/11/2015 and there is only way to prove is invoice. According to HP, it will take max 45-days for the cashback and return to Ebuyer is 14-days.
My question is, will I cancel the order?

Purchase date, is the date the money was taken out, if it has the wrong date I will simply ask Trading Standards for clarification, also advertised with cashback offer.
Worse case scenario is I return the printer as its "not as advertised", no cost to me. Just like the toilet rolls.
hoodr40

Ebuyer have confirmed to me their invoice date is the day it's dispatched
"Your order will become "Invoiced" once it has been fully dispatched. At that time your invoice can then be printed via the Ebuyer website. The Invoice date therefore is the date that goods are dispatched."
Also said because I paid by Paypal they can't change any details (I wanted to upgrade my delivery) looks like I'll have to cancel don't want all the hassle of refusing delivery etc etc

I am on the phone now, and have a neat voice recording of their staff reading off both orders. And basically proving that they have outright lied.
http://www.ebuyer.com/447270-hp-officejet-pro-x551dw-wireless-duplex-inkjet-printer-cv037a-a81
You voice recordings are worthless in court, unless its a tamper proof recording (very expensive equipment that the likes of banks, insurance and loan companies use). And you may actually find you were breaking the law yourself unless you informed eCrooks you were recording the call 'for training purposes', kappa.
So your going to waste hours of your life over nothing in the end. You played the HUKD Roulette and lost. Move on lifes to short.

Can we ban future eBuyer deals from HUKD?
They could have at least offered all those disappointed customers with the free paper
On a side note, most newer HP trade-in and cash backs have had a maximum cash back value of 50% of the purchase price, so I would check the small print in the full T&C's to see if this is the case on any new HP deals.

I've had the order acknowledgement email and the payment processed email but no cancellation email however I would be very surprised if I didn't get a cancellation email.
I arrived too late and missed this deal but was very angry when I read
'Just been on the phone to them to let them know the error, they thanked me and are sending me a printer tomorrow! Brilliant service'
How idiotic do you have to be to ring up and ruin a deal for everyone else ?
It says on their website.
*Trade in must be a suitable Laser printer as per HP's Terms and Conditions

My orders still not been cancelled maybe I should of selected next day delivery
Next day delivery was default.
How expensive are the cartridges!!
"We may be getting more in stock, but at that price we won't. So I have had to cancel your order for you and refund you in full."
"It may of shown as in stock, but unfortunately there was no stock, our system was catching up on orders and I'm very sorry it let you place the order when there was no stock available."
You may have no choice but to contact either Hp or Ebuyer. Either way I wouldn't want to have to return it, it's huge!

Will not be surprised if they magically have a 'delivery' of these printers just after Nov 1st.
I've had a look around the Internet and it does seem with Ebuyer that the invoice date is the shipped date.
I've sent them a enote to ask if this is the case and see if I can upgrade my delivery they will probably turn round and say they have no stock and cancel my order but I would rather them do this then get the printer next week with a November date on the invoice.
Worse case scenario is I return the printer as its "not as advertised", no cost to me. Just like the toilet rolls.
Let's see what they say as mine is still processing.

Good customer service that.
Hi,
As a company Ebuyer want you to have a trouble free ordering experience and I honestly can understand that this has not been the case this time. I hope that you are able to accept my apology in this matter but kindly advise that your invoice date is always the date that goods ship, as you will note from previous orders.
As your order has since been cancelled I am sorry but am unable to take this further at this time.
Kind Regards,

As far as I remember, terms and conditions were showing some days for approval but it's more than week. I've just sent an email to HP.
Is there any one else got cashback approval? How long usually HP take for the approval?
