[Expired on advice of long-term member of HUKD, although still available to buy at £205]
Good price for a great office/home PC in my opinion. Good brand too, always workhorses I have found HP to be. Not sure why that came out a bit 'Yoda-esque', but I'll leave it in.
[EDIT: EBuyer changed the price - is now £205. Sorry guys/gals]
At £279.99 it was too high (IMHO), but after trade-in £154.99 is a very good price.
- Is it good for home or office? Yes.
- Is it good for serious gaming, not especially without an additional graphics card, which I will leave the gamers on here to add comment too, as I'm not qualified in that area at all.
[EDIT: Postage is free.]

Thanks for the link to Ebuyer. I actually went for a different machine, this one:
I effectively paid £40 more for an i5 processor, I think. Whether I'll ever notice any benefit remains to be seen!
I'd been aware of this promotion, but had been planning to order from HP's own store. I was having a real problem marrying the qualifying products on HP's blurb with the machines in their store.
The Prodesk 400 400 G3 MT - P5K01EA qualifies, for instance, but who sells that? I couldn't find it anywhwere!
I'm not too fussed either way regarding the post to be honest as it's a deal site, not my marriage vows , and I'm also not sure when deals should be expired, but I appreciate your last words on this, spoken like a gentleman, I take the comments back.
I've been a leech rather than a seeder (forgive the comparison) for too long on here so thought I'd found something good to post up. Ah well, onto the next one.....

My recollection of majority voting was before deal title was corrected, but I acknowledge you have access to more detailed stats. Thread expiry in similar circumstances is usually site convention. No condescension nor miserableness intended earlier, and regardless of any misconceptions your deal post is still appreciated.

That's pure speculation by you Andy; this being my first deal I've been following it and about 95 (give or take) of those votes are after I changed the title. You were a little condescending earlier, but now I'm beginning to think you're just a grumpy old sod. Chin up pal, life isn't as bad as you're making it out to be.

Bonus £50 cashback finished in October, so only £75 cashback now means price is £205, not such a great deal, title should be corrected.

Should really be expired as most of the heat votes were placed on the assumption of the higher trade-in amount which is clearly not available.

What you have failed to read is that the total cash back is made up of the trade in cashback if £75 and a bonus cashback of £50. It's quite clear in the table.

...for purchases by schools (only), and only in October. The October bonus tradein ended when the November table became valid. It's quite clear in the (November) table.

I received cash back on a purchase made a few months ago - process works fine, if a little slow.

Just called eBuyer to clarify because I don't want to look a tool on my first deal posting becaiuse they got something wrong. The nice lady went through some numbers and said it was because of the manufacturers product code that the cashback was definitely £125. She did admit that the T&C's were confusing though.
Shame this deal wasn't around on Monday, when I ordered a new PC.....pffff.

Probably unlikely that the trade-in promoter will accept the word of random "nice lady at ebuyer" as legitimate proof of trade-in amount. Would be far better to receive formal confirmation from promoter tradeuptohp via [email protected] or 0845 415 4102.
This particular deal is of no interest to me, but on the upside I can say that an antique XP box I purchased recently for £3 was sufficient to qualify for subsequently confirmed acceptance of £150 tradein from a recent similar tradeuptohp promo. Great if it works out for you.

"downgraded to Windows 7 Pro"
Speaks volumes for business users  (suits me)
Great deal, good specs for anyone except serious gamers, bung in a nice SSD and this thing will fly for everyday tasks

Am I the only one who wonders how eBuyer can claim you get £125 back when the T&Cs clearly state that any purchases between £250 and £299.99 only get £75.00 ...?

So that's any old P4 box then which you can pick up for about a fiver. If anyone wants one, I have some for a fiver

"The promotion is open to businesses or organisations operating in mainland UK and Northern Ireland only. This offer is not open to employees of Hewlett Packard (HP), their agents, wholesalers, resellers, retail staff, retailers, participating stockists or anyone connected with the promotion. Claims must be submitted by the end user customer only. Resellers may not submit claims on behalf of their customers."
Business or 'organisation', so you'd just do it as "Rodman Enterprises". Last time I did this it asked for a company name and address, and bank details for the rebate, and nothing else. It doesn't require accounts checks, Ltd companies etc.
